The Oval
The Oval, referred to as the Kia Oval due to a commercial sponsorship deal, is an international cricket ground in Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth. In the past it was also sometimes called the Kennington Oval. In past years it was officially named as the 'Fosters Oval', 'AMP Oval', 'Brit Insurance Oval', due to previous commercial sponsorship deals.
Kennington Park
Kennington Park is in Kennington in London, England, and lies between Kennington Park Road and St Agnes Place. It was opened in 1854. Previously the site had been Kennington Common. This is where the Chartists gathered for their biggest 'monster rally' on 10 April 1848. Soon after this demonstration the common was enclosed and, sponsored by the royals, made into a public park. Kennington Common was a site of public executions until 1800 as well as being an area for public speaking.
City Racing
City Racing was an artist-run space in Kennington, South London which was active between 1988 and 1998. It was a cooperative by five artists Matt Hale, Paul Noble, John Burgess, Keith Coventry and Peter Owen. They set up the gallery in a former betting shop near the Oval cricket ground, hence the derivation of the gallery name. City Racing became an important and renowned exhibition space; its openings provided a networking opportunity for many artists.
Vauxhall (UK Parliament constituency)

Vauxhall Gardens
Vauxhall Gardens was a pleasure garden, one of the leading venues for public entertainment in London, England from the mid 17th century to the mid 19th century. Originally known as New Spring Gardens, the site was believed to have opened before the Restoration of 1660 with the first mention being made by Samuel Pepys in 1662. The Gardens consisted of several acres of trees and shrubs with attractive walks. Initially, entrance was free with food and drink being sold to support the venture.

St Agnes Place was a squatted street in Kennington, South London, which resisted eviction orders for more than 30 years.
Kennington Common
Kennington Common was one of the earliest London cricket venues and is known to have been used for major cricket matches from 1724 to 1785. Cricket on Kennington Common provided an alternative spectacle to public executions. The common was in effect the south London equivalent of Tyburn and there are records of executions all through the time of cricket's tenure. The gallows was where St. Mark's Church now stands, not far from Oval tube station.

The Type Museum is a unique and massive collection of artifacts representing the legacy of type founding in England, whose famous type foundries and composing systems supplied the world with type in all languages. The museum was founded in 1992 and is located in Oval, south London, England.
Kennington Park Road
Kennington Park Road is a main road in south-east London, England, and is part of the A3 trunk road. It runs from Newington Butts at its Y-junction with Kennington Lane, south-west to the Oval, where the A3 continues as Clapham Road, towards Stockwell. At this crossroads junction, Camberwell New Road and Kennington Oval head towards Camberwell Green and Vauxhall respectively. Heading south, the street first passes Kennington station and then Kennington Park.
Gasworks Gallery
Gasworks Gallery is based by the Oval Cricket Ground in South East London. It is part of Triangle Arts Trust, an international network or residencies and workshops offering artists the opportunity develop their practice stimulated by a climate of international exchange and dialogue. It has a gallery and fifteen artists studios. Nine studios are rented to London based artists and three are reserved for an International Residency Programme for non-UK based artists.

St John the Divine, Kennington
St John the Divine, Kennington is an Anglican church in London. The parish of Kennington is within the Anglican Diocese of Southwark. The church was designed by the architect George Edmund Street in the Decorated Gothic style, and was built between 1871 and 1874. Today it is a grade I listed building. The church stands on Vassall Road, Kennington, in Vassall Ward in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is near Oval tube station and the Oval Cricket Ground.

Kennington Cross
Kennington Cross is a locality in the London Borough of Lambeth. It is at the junction of two major main roads, Kennington Lane that links Vauxhall Cross with the Elephant and Castle and Kennington Road that comes from Waterloo down to Kennington Park. On the junction are the Durning Library (London Borough of Lambeth), St. Anselm's Church (Church of England) and The ArtsLav project, a nineteenth century underground gents Victorian Lavatory converted into a small local arts venue.

Hackford Road
Hackford Road is a road in Oval, Lambeth, south London, England. It runs north-south and is located between Clapham Road to the west and Brixton Road to the east. To the north is the Oval tube station. The artist Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) lived at 87 Hackford Road, then the house of Ursula Loyer and her daughter Eugenie, in 1873. He wrote to his brother Theo van Gogh from this address. He arrived in London to start work at the art dealership Goupil & Co.

Christ Church Brixton Road
Christ Church on Brixton Road in Lambeth SW9 is an Art Nouveau and Byzantine Revival Grade II* listed buildingbuilt in 1902by Arthur Beresford Pite for his brother-in-law, Rev William Mowll. The foundation stone, by Edward Johnston, was cut by Eric Gill in 1902. The church was consecrated by the Bishop of Rochester on 5 December 1902. The outside pulpit in the south-west corner was designed by Weir, Burrows and Weir and was dedicated on 3 November 1907.

St Mark's Church, Kennington
St Mark's Church, Kennington is an Anglican church in Kennington, London, United Kingdom. The church is a Commissioners' church, receiving a grant from the Church Building Commission towards its cost. The architect was David R. Roper. The total cost of the church, including the land and other expenses, was £22,720. This was paid partly by the local parishioners and partly by Parliament through a grant known as "The Million Fund". On Saturdays a farmers' market is held in the churchyard.
