Derby Heritage Centre
The Old Grammar School, St. Peter's Churchyard, Derby, England, is now a Ladies Hairdressing Salon. The building's new owner is the daughter of the architect responsible for the original restoration of this historical property. All of the original features of the building have been retained and further extensive restoration work has been carried out at the new owner's expense.
The George Inn (Derby)
The George Inn, in Iron Gate, Derby was a coaching inn used by the Duke of Devonshire as his headquarters when commanding the Derbyshire Blues, in readiness for the invasion by Charles Edward Stuart in 1745. When the prince arrived in Derby on 4 December, he called at the inn and demanded billets for his 9000 troops. The event is re-enacted every year on the anniversary of the Prince's arrival. The inn is now a public house called "Jorrocks", having had several different names since the 1980s.
Derby Museum and Art Gallery
Derby Museum and Art Gallery was established in 1879, along with Derby Central Library, in a new building designed by Richard Knill Freeman and given to Derby by Michael Thomas Bass. The collection includes a whole gallery displaying the paintings of Joseph Wright of Derby; there is also a large display of Royal Crown Derby and other porcelain from Derby and the surrounding area. Further displays include archaeology, natural history, geology and military collections.
Ram FM
Ram FM was an Independent Local Radio station, which broadcast to central and southern parts of Derbyshire on 102.8 FM. The station merged with two other East Midlands stations, Trent FM and Leicester Sound to form Capital FM East Midlands (part of Global's Capital FM Network) on Monday 3 January 2011.
Diocese of Derby
The Diocese of Derby is a Church of England diocese in the Province of Canterbury, roughly covering the same area as the County of Derbyshire. Its diocesan bishop is the Bishop of Derby who has his seat at Derby Cathedral. He is assisted by the Suffragan Bishop of Repton. The Diocese of Derby contains two archdeaconries: the Archdeaconry of Derby and the Archdeaconry of Chesterfield.
Metro Cinema (Derby)
The Metro Cinema was an independent cinema in Derby, with one screen. It showed many independent, arthouse and foreign films, as well as some older mainstream films. For most of its life, the cinema was located on Green Lane, but it relocated to the University of Derby campus in 2007. In 2008, it closed, in preparation for a move to the new Derby QUAD development in the city centre.

Derby QUAD
Derby QUAD also referred to as QUAD Derby or simply The QUAD is an arts centre in Derby, United Kingdom, first opened on 26 September 2008. It has a steel and glass design by Bath architects Feilden Clegg Bradley. When it was chosen over competing designs by Derby council cabinet in 2004 it was considered controversial. QUAD provides an art gallery, two cinemas, artists’ studios, and a cafe bar. The centre also has available spaces for people to create their own artwork.
St Peter's Church, Derby
St Peter's in the City is a Church of England parish church in the city of Derby, UK. It is one of Derby's city centre churches which is in full use for worship. The church building dates from the 11th century and recently celebrated its 950th anniversary. The tower has a peal of eight bells, which are rung before the Sunday morning services.
Derby Central Library
Derby Central Library was established in 1879 with Derby Museum and Art Gallery, in a red brick building designed in the Domestic Flemish Gothic style by Richard Knill Freeman and given to Derby by Michael Thomas Bass. It is Derby's main public and reference library, the largest branch of Derby City Libraries run by the unitary authority that governs the city.
Whitehurst & Son sundial (1812)
The Whitehurst & Son Sundial was produced in Derby in 1812 by the nephew of John Whitehurst. It is now in the Derby Museum and Art Gallery. It is a fine example of a precision sundial telling local apparent time with a scale to convert this to local mean time. It is accurate to the nearest minute.
Derby Catacombs
The Derby Catacombs (also referred to as the Guildhall Catacombs) are a series of tunnels running beneath the city of Derby, most notably beneath the Marketplace and Guildhall. Access to the tunnels is available via a back room of the nearby Tiger pub.
