It is also the second largest city in the West Midlands region, after Birmingham, with a population of 316,900 at the 2011 UK census. Historically within Warwickshire, Coventry is situated 95 miles northwest of central London and 19 miles east-southeast of Birmingham, and is further from the coast than any other city in Britain.
Bond's Hospital is an almshouse established for old bedesmen. It is situated on Hill Street, Coventry, England, built around the same courtyard as the old disused buildings of Bablake School. The hospital was founded in 1506 by Thomas Bond, a draper who became Mayor of Coventry in 1497. Although most of the street frontage was rebuilt in 1832, the building essentially still retains all its original features, and the hospital is now a grade II* listed building.
The A4053 is the Coventry Ring road and encompasses the old and new Coventry Cathedrals, Coventry University, West Orchard and Cathedral Lanes Shopping Centres, Coventry Skydome Arena, and many other businesses. Unlike many other city centre ring roads, Coventry ring road is made up of entirely grade-separated junctions except for one roundabout, this leads to the junctions being extremely close together and in effect one junction leads into another at many points.
Coventry Cross is an important landmark in the cathedral city of Coventry, England. Standing between Cuckoo Lane and Holy Trinity Church and in the alley known as Trinity Churchyard, it is a modern version of the historic market cross, such as was common in many medieval market towns.

It was founded by the merchant William Ford (or perhaps 'Fourd') in 1509 to provide accommodation for six elderly people: five men and one woman. Despite the earlier name of "Grey Friars", it bears no relationship to the Franciscan Order but was so named because of its location on Greyfriars Lane.
St John the Baptist Church, Coventry
The Collegiate and Parish Church of St John the Baptist is located in the City Centre of Coventry in the Medieval area of Spon Street. It was built on land given by Queen Isabella in 1344. It is in the Church of England Diocese of Coventry. The current rector is the Revd. Paul Such

It is thought that the building may have been a second guildhall in Coventry, in addition to St Mary's Guildhall.

16 Little Park Street (also known as Kirby House) is a Georgian townhouse in central Coventry, West Midlands, England. It is one of two remaining Georgian buildings on the street and three in the city centre (the other two being 7 Little Park Street and 11 Priory Row). The name Kirby House comes from Thomas Hulston Kirby who bought it in 1874.
