Sandwell
Sandwell is a metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, with a population of around 308,100, and an area of 33 square miles . The borough is named after Sandwell Priory, and spans a densely populated part of both the Black Country, and the West Midlands conurbation, encompassing the urban towns and villages of Blackheath, Cradley Heath, Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Tividale, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.
County Borough of Warley
Warley was a county borough and civil parish forming part of the West Midlands conurbation, England, and geographical county of Worcestershire. It was formed in 1966 by the combination of the existing county borough of Smethwick with the municipal boroughs of Oldbury and Rowley Regis (along with small sections of Birmingham, Dudley, Tipton, West Bromwich and Halesowen as well as an unpopulated fragment of Brierley Hill), by recommendation of the Local Government Commission for England.
Spon Lane Locks Branch
The Spon Lane Locks Branch is an 800-yard section of the BCN Main Line canal in Oldbury, England, which forms a connecting canal "sliproad" where the Old BCN Main Line crosses the New BCN Main Line at the Stewart Aqueduct. It runs westwards from Spon Lane Junction via the three Spon Lane Locks to Bromford Junction. It was originally part of the Wednesbury branch of Birmingham Canal which opened in 1769.

The Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple is the first temple for the deity Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) in Europe. It is on Dudley Road East, A457 behind the Meadows School in Tividale, West Midlands, England, on the border between Tipton and Oldbury; it was designed to replicate the Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, India, which is the second busiest and richest religious centre in the world after the Vatican.
Gower Branch Canal
The Gower Branch Canal is a half-mile canal at Tividale in England, linking Albion Junction on the Birmingham Level (453 feet above sea) of the Birmingham Canal Navigations, and Bradeshall Junction (sometimes written Brades Hall Junction) on the BCN's older Wolverhampton (473 ft) level, via three locks, the Brades Locks, at the Southern, Bradeshall end. It has a towpath on its eastern side and is crossed by only one road, the A457, just north of the middle lock.
Lyng, West Midlands
Lyng is a residential area of West Bromwich in the West Midlands of England. It is situated in the south of the town near the border with Oldbury - and part of Oldbury's Ring Road actually borders the southern part of the area. Lyng was developed during the 19th century due to the Industrial Revolution that bought thousands of jobs to the local area. Hundreds of houses were built, but after the Second World War many of these homes were becoming unfit for human habitation.

The Titford Canal is a narrow (7 foot) canal, a short branch of the Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN) in Oldbury, West Midlands, England. Authorised under the Birmingham Canal Act 1768 which created the original Birmingham Canal, it was constructed in 1836-7 and opened on 4 November 1837.

Oak House, West Bromwich
Oak House in Oak Road, West Bromwich, England, is a large half-timbered Yeoman's farmhouse dating back to the sixteenth century. It is one of the finest timber framed buildings in the West Midlands and was given to the people of West Bromwich by Alderman Reuben Farley. It is thought to be named after a large oak tree which stood in front of the house until early last century, although it may equally derive from the oak woodlands which originally surrounded the house.
