Santa Maria della Vittoria
Santa Maria della Vittoria (English: our Lady of Victory, Latin: S. Mariae de Victoria) is a Roman Catholic titular church and minor basilica dedicated to the Virgin Mary located in Rome, Italy. The church is known for the masterpiece of Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the Cornaro Chapel, the Ecstasy of Saint Teresa.
The Borghese Gallery is an art gallery in Rome, Italy, housed in the former Villa Borghese Pinciana. It is a building that was from the first integral with its gardens, nowadays considered quite separately by tourists as the Villa Borghese gardens. The Galleria Borghese houses a substantial part of the Borghese collection of paintings, sculpture and antiquities, begun by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, the nephew of Pope Paul V (reign 1605–1621).
Villa Borghese gardens
Villa Borghese is a large landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome, containing a number of buildings, museums and attractions. It is the second largest public park in Rome (80 hectares or 148 acres) after that of the Villa Doria Pamphili.
Ludovisi (rione of Rome)
Ludovisi is the XVI rione (historic district) of Rome. Its coat of arms has three golden bands and a golden dragon, everything on a red background. It is the coat of arms of the noble Ludovisi family, which here owned the beautiful villa bearing the same name. The villa and the surrounding gardens, except few annexes, were destroyed at the end of nineteenth century to build the new district. The most important street of the rione Ludovisi is Via Veneto.
Castro Pretorio is the XVIII rione of Rome. The logo is the golden banner of the Praetorian Guard on a red background. The rione takes its name by the ruins of the Castrum Praetorium, the barracks of the Praetorian Guard, included in the Aurelian Walls.
The Church of Saint Susanna at the Baths of Diocletian (Italian: Chiesa di Santa Susanna alle Terme di Diocleziano) is a Roman Catholic parish church located on the Quirinal Hill in Rome, Italy. There has been a Titular church associated to its site as far back as A.D. 280. The current church was rebuilt from 1585 to 1603 for a monastery of Cistercian nuns founded on the site in 1587 which still exists there.
Aeneas, Anchises, and Ascanius
Aeneas, Anchises, and Ascanius is a sculpture by the Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini created circa 1618-9. Housed in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, the sculpture depicts a scene from the Aeneid, where the hero Aeneas leads his family from burning Troy.

Apollo and Daphne (Bernini)
Apollo and Daphne is a life-sized Baroque marble sculpture by Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini executed 1622–25. Housed in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, the work depicts the climax of the story of Daphne and Phoebus in Ovid's Metamorphoses.
Porta Pia is a gate in the Aurelian Walls of Rome, Italy. One of Pope Pius IV's civic improvements to the city, it is named after him. Situated at the end of a new street, the Via Pia, it was designed by Michelangelo in replacement for the Porta Nomentana situated several hundred meters southwards, which was closed up at the same time. Construction began in 1561 and ended in 1565, after the artist's death.

The Acqua Felice is one of the aqueducts of Rome, completed in 1586 by Pope Sixtus V, whose birth name, which he never fully abandoned, was Felice Peretti. The first new aqueduct of early modern Rome, its source is at the springs at Pantano Borghese, off Via Casilina.
The Rape of Proserpina
The Rape of Proserpina is a large Baroque marble sculptural group by Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini executed between 1621 and 1622. Bernini was only 23 years old at its completion. It depicts the Abduction of Prosperina, where Proserpina is seized and taken to the underworld by the god Pluto.
Museo Civico di Zoologia
The Museo Civico di Zoologia is a natural history museum in Rome, central Italy. It is situated next to the Bioparc and can be entered by the Zoo or through the entrance on via Ulisse Aldrovandi. Founded in 1932, it is said to continue the natural history tradition of the Gabinetto di Zoologia dell'Università Pontificia and the collections date from 1792. It is a recognized as an institute of national importance by the Ministero per la Università e la Ricerca Scientifica.
Porta Pinciana is a gate of the Aurelian Walls in Rome. The name derives from the gens Pincia, who owned the eponymous hill. In ancient times it was also called Porta Turata ("Plugged Gate", for it was partially closed) and Porta Salaria vetus, as the oldest Via Salaria passed under it (the Via Salaria nova passed under the Porta Salaria). The gate was built under the emperor Honorius in the early 5th century, by adapting a previous smaller service entrance.
Villa Torlonia (Rome)
For other villas of this name, see Villa Torlonia. Villa Torlonia is a villa and surrounding gardens in Rome, Italy, formerly belonging to the Torlonia family. It is entered from the via Nomentana. It was designed by the neo-Classic architect Giuseppe Valadier. Construction began in 1806 for the banker Giovanni Torlonia (1756–1829) and was finished by his son Alessandro (1800–1880).
Palazzo Margherita, or palazzo Piombino, is a palazzo on Via Veneto in Rome. It was built from 1886 to 1890 by Gaetano Koch for prince Rodolfo Boncompagni Ludovisi, prince of Piombino, on a now-vanished portion of the Villa Ludovisi. The high cost of the palace forced the prince to sell it to the Italian state. The palace is named after queen Margherita of Savoy, who lived there after the assassination of her husband Umberto I in Monza in 1900, till her death in 1926.

Castro Pretorio (Rome Metro)
Castro Pretorio is a station on Line B of the Rome Metro. It was opened on 8 December 1990 and is located on viale Castro Pretorio, at its junction with via San Martino della Battaglia, in the Castro Pretorio rione. The Colline Gate was a landmark in ancient Rome, supposed to have been built by Servius Tullius, semi-legendary king of Rome 578–535 BC. The gate stood at the north end of the Servian Wall, and past it were two important streets, the Via Salaria and Via Nomentana. Within this area the Alta Semita linked the Quirinal with the Porta Carmentalis. Several temples were located near the gate, including temples of Venus Erycina and Fortuna.

Fontana dell'Acqua Felice
The Fontana dell'Acqua Felice, also called the Fountain of Moses, is a monumental fountain located in the Quirinale District of Rome, Italy. It marked the terminus of the Acqua Felice aqueduct restored by Pope Sixtus V. It was designed by Domenico Fontana and built in 1585-88.

La Zingarella or Gypsy Girl is a 140 centimetres tall statue of Diana commissioned by Scipione Borghese and executed by Nicolas Cordier. It was made with bronze, and white and gray marble. It is on display in Room X in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, Italy.
