The Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth was a Metropolitan borough under the London County Council, from 1900 to 1965. The borough was formed from five civil parishes: Clapham, Putney, Streatham, Tooting Graveney and Wandsworth. Before 1899 these parishes, together with Battersea, had been administered by the Wandsworth District Board of Works.

The A214 is a part primary, part non-primary A road in London, England. It runs from Wandsworth to West Wickham. The section at Wandsworth, which is part of Trinity Road, was to be part of the London Ringways and is built as a three lane dual carriageway between Wandsworth Roundabout and Dorlcote Road. Wimbledon Traincare depot
The Wimbledon Traincare depot is a train maintenance depot, servicing primarily South West Trains, located between Wimbledon and Earlsfield stations, on the South Western Main Line from Woking to London Waterloo and is situated next to the Wimbledon Train Viaduct. The facility achieved ISO 14001 accreditation in recognition of its environmental management policies. On 19 September 2006, Wimbledon Traincare depot was selected as the winner of the Back Office Customer Service Team of the Year.

Summerstown, London
Summerstown is a district in southwest London. Summerstown lies east of Wimbledon south of Earlsfield, west of Tooting and north of Collier's Wood. The district is bisected by the main A217 road and bordered by the River Wandle. The area is home to Wimbledon Stadium, a dog racing track which also hosts speedway, stock car and other racing events. The area also hosts a fitness centre with a gym and seven squash courts.
Old Sergeant
The Old Sergeant is a small public house, typical of the 'local' in many poorer parts of London. It is situated on Garratt Lane in Wandsworth, which in the 18th and 19th centuries was an exit road to the south. It is known to have existed under the same name (Old Sergeant) in 1785, when a John Nash held the licence. Later, it was owned by Earl Spencer and was purchased by Henry Young in 1857 and became tied to the Young's Brewery. The frontage has changed little over the years.

Springfield Hospital
Springfield University Hospital (formerly the Springfield Asylum) is a psychiatric hospital in Tooting, South London and also the headquarters of the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. The hospital opened in 1840, as the Surrey County Lunatic Asylum. The original building was a grand symmetrical red brick Tudor-style composition enclosing a large courtyard, built to the designs of Edward Lapidge, the county surveyor.

Matinée races take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with evening race meetings on Friday and Saturday nights. It is owned by Ladbrokes.
