Wormwood Scrubs, known locally as The Scrubs, or simply just "Scrubs", is an open space located in the north-eastern corner of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in west London. It is the largest open space in the Borough, at 80 ha (200 acres), and one of the largest areas of common land in London. Shepherd's Bush murders

The Shepherd's Bush murders, also known as the Massacre of Braybrook Street, was the murder of three police officers in London by Harry Roberts and two others in 1966. The officers had stopped to question the three occupants of a car waiting near Wormwood Scrubs prison; Roberts shot dead Temporary Detective Constable David Wombwell and Detective Sergeant Christopher Head, whilst John Duddy, another occupant in the vehicle, shot dead Police Constable Geoffrey Fox.

Municipal Borough of Willesden

Willesden was a local government district in the county of Middlesex, England from 1874 to 1965. It formed part of the Metropolitan Police District and London postal district. Willesden was part of the built-up area of London and bordered the County of London to the east and south. It was formed as a Local government district in 1874, became an urban district in 1894 and was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1933. In 1901 the population was 114,811.

This is where the mainline from Marylebone diverges into two main lines: the Chiltern Main Line, which runs towards High Wycombe and Birmingham, and the London to Aylesbury Line. Willesden railway station was a station on Acton Lane in Harlesden, north-west London, opened in 1841 by the London and Birmingham Railway (L&BR) on what became the West Coast Main Line (WCML). It was five or six furlongs south of the original village of Willesden. It closed later the same year, reopened in 1844 and closed finally when the L&BR's successor, the London and North Western Railway (LNWR), opened Willesden Junction station about half a mile to the southeast on 1 September 1866.

Dudding Hill railway station

Dudding Hill railway station was a station in Neasden, west London on the Dudding Hill Line. It was opened in 1875 by the Midland Railway, originally as "Dudding Hill, for Willesden & Neasden". It shut to passengers in 1902, despite providing access to the neighbouring new Gladstone Park, and goods services ceased in 1964. Although the platforms were demolished, the station building survived into the 1980s, when the land was used for housing (Cornmow Drive was built on the site).

Harlesden (Midland) railway station was a station in northwest London on the south side of the southern section of a road called Craven Park, which is part of the A404 Harrow Road between Paddington and Wembley. The station was sometimes known as Harrow Road or as Stonebridge Park. It was opened by the Midland Railway on the Dudding Hill Line in 1875, partly to service the neighbouring exclusive Craven Park Estate.
