The Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead was a Metropolitan borough of the County of London from 1900 to 1965, when it was amalgamated with the Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras and the Metropolitan Borough of Holborn to form the London Borough of Camden. Freud Museum

The Freud Museum, at 20 Maresfield Gardens in Hampstead, was the home of Sigmund Freud and his family when they escaped Nazi annexation of Austria in 1938. It remained the family home until Anna Freud, the youngest daughter, died in 1982. The centrepiece of the museum is Freud's study, preserved just as it was during his lifetime. The Freud Museum commemorates and elucidates the work of Sigmund and Anna Freud and maintains their working environment.

Keats House

Keats House is a museum in a house once occupied by the Romantic poet John Keats. It is in Keats Grove, Hampstead, north London. Maps prior to ca.1915 show the road with one of its earlier names, John Street; the road has also been known as Albion Grove. The building was originally a pair of semi-detached houses known as "Wentworth Place". John Keats lodged in one of them with his friend Charles Brown from December 1818 to September 1820. These were perhaps Keats's most productive years.

Holborn division

The Holborn Division was one of four divisions of the Hundred of Ossulstone, in the county of Middlesex, England. The other divisions were named Finsbury, Kensington and Tower. The area was to the north of the liberty of Westminster, and was included entirely within the County of London on its creation in 1889. Hampstead Conservatoire

The Hampstead Conservatoire was a private college for music and the arts at 64, Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage, London. The building, previously the Eton Avenue Hall, was reconstructed in 1890. It was equipped with a large pipe organ, built in 1888 by the London firm of Henry Willis & Sons with forty-three stops spread over four manuals and pedals. The hey-day of the conservatoire was 1896 - 1905, when its Principal was Cecil Sharp. Arnold Bax was one of its pupils between 1898 and 1900.
