Edinburgh East is a burgh constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. Duddingston Kirk is a Parish Church in the Church of Scotland, located adjacent to Holyrood Park in Duddingston Village, on the east side of the City of Edinburgh. Regular services are held at the Kirk, conducted by the minister, Rev Dr James A. P. Jack (from 2001). This ancient church was built in or around 1124 by Dodin, a Norman knight, on land granted to Kelso Abbey by King David I of Scotland. As originally built, the Kirk consisted of the chancel, nave and square tower.

Craigmillar (Scottish Gaelic: Creag a' Mhuilleir), from the Gaelic Crag Maol Ard, meaning 'High Bare Rock', is an area of Edinburgh, Scotland about 3 miles south east of the city centre, with Duddingston to the north and Newcraighall to the east.
Cameron Toll
Cameron Toll is a suburb located to the south of Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally it was the site of a toll house built in the early 19th century, which was located on a stretch of road between Edinburgh and Dalkeith. The meaning of the name Cameron is suggested to be 'crooked hill', derived from the Scots Gaelic 'cam', crooked, and Old Gaelic 'brun' meaning hill, believed to refer to Arthur’s Seat clearly visible nearby; the original name may have been Pictish.

Craigour
Craigour is a district of southeast Edinburgh, Scotland, next to the A7 (Old Dalkeith Road). It is surrounded on the east by the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary just across the A7; on the north by Liberton Golf Club; and on the west and south by the districts of Moredun, Moredunvale and Fernieside. The Burdiehouse Burn flows through Craigour. Craigour, for such a small area, consists of widely varying house types. There still exist some prefabs built in the 1950s.

Bingham is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is east of Duddingston, west of Magdalene, south of Southfield and north of Niddrie. The main A1 road skirts Bingham to the north.
Greendykes
Greendykes is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is a fairly large council scheme, which consists mostly of low-rise flats but also houses two 14 storey tower blocks (Greendykes House and Wauchope House). It is sometimes considered to be part of Craigmillar, areas such as Niddrie, Niddrie Mains and Newcraighall are also situated nearby.
Little France

Simpson Memorial Maternity Hospital
The Simpson Memorial Maternity Hospital, named after (Sir) James Young Simpson, was the first purpose built maternity hospital in Edinburgh. Later, Simpson's name was perpetuated in the Simpson Memorial Maternity Pavilion which was incorporated into the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and has now been relocated to the new Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in Little France on the southern outskirts of the city.

Robin Chapel
Robin Chapel is an ecumenical Christian place of worship in the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built in memory of Lieutenant Robin Tudsbery, who was killed in the closing days of World War II. The chapel sits within the grounds of the Thistle Foundation, a housing complex for disabled people.

Duddingston Loch
Duddingston Loch is a natural loch located in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, Scotland, below Arthur's Seat. It is part of a nature reserve, being important for wildfowl, herons and the great crested grebe, as well as swans and ducks. It is the only natural loch in Edinburgh, and the largest in Holyrood Park. Henry Raeburn's famous painting The Skating Minister is set on Duddingston Loch.
Sheep Heid Inn
The Sheep Heid Inn is a public house in Duddingston, Edinburgh, Scotland. There has reputedly been a pub on this spot selling liquor and victuals since 1360. If this foundation date was proved correct it would make The Sheep Heid Inn perhaps the oldest surviving licensed premises in Edinburgh, if not Scotland.

Braid Burn
The Braid Burn is a stream 14 km in length that flows through south and east Edinburgh. The area of the basin drained by the burn and its tributaries amounts to 30.5 square km. From its source near Bonaly in the Pentland Hills south-west of the city it flows in a generally north-easterly direction, skirting the Braid Hills to the east and south, via the Braid Valley Park, the Hermitage of Braid, Blackford Glen, Cameron Toll and Inch Park.

Prestonfield House
Prestonfield House is a five-star boutique hotel located in Prestonfield, Edinburgh. Though it is but a small establishment, having only 23 rooms, Prestonfield House is well renowned by critics.
