Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland
Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland (3 February 1393 – 22 May 1455) was an English nobleman and military commander in the lead up to the Wars of the Roses. He was the son of Henry "Hotspur" Percy, and the grandson of Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland. Father and grandfather were killed in different rebellions against Henry IV in 1403 and 1405 respectively, and the young Henry spent his minority in exile in Scotland.
St Albans Abbey railway station
St Albans Abbey railway station in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England is about 0.6 miles south of the city centre in the St Stephen's area. It is the terminus of the Abbey Line from Watford Junction, part of the London Midland franchise. It is one of two stations in St Albans, the other being the much larger and busier St Albans City. The unstaffed station consists of a single open-air platform and a car park. Improvement works were carried out in 2008.

Sopwell Priory
Sopwell Priory (also known as Sopwell Nunnery) was built c. 1140 in Hertfordshire, England by the Benedictine abbot of St Albans Abbey, Geoffrey de Gorham. It was founded as the Priory of St Mary of Sopwell and was a cell of St Albans Abbey. Juliana Berners was the prioress during the 15th century, believed to be the author of the Boke of St Albans published in 1486.

Beech Bottom Dyke
Beech Bottom Dyke, is a large ditch running for almost a mile at the northern edge of St Albans, Hertfordshire flanked by banks on both sides. It is up to 30 m wide, and 10 m deep, and it can be followed for three quarters of a mile between the "Ancient Briton Crossroads" on the St Albans to Harpenden road until it is crossed by the Thameslink/Midland mainline railway at Sandridge. Beyond the railway embankment it continues, to finish just short of the St Albans to Sandridge road.

Diocesan House, St Albans
Diocesan House is located in Verulam Road, St Albans on the northern side between Church Crescent and Britton Avenue opposite College Street grid reference TL1454007480. It is now known as Verulam House and has also been referred to as the Bishop's Palace. The rural district comprised an area surrounding St Albans, but did not include the city, which was an independent municipal borough.

The Museum of St Albans is a local museum in the city of St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. The museum was founded as the Hertfordshire County Museum in 1898. The museum presents the history of St Albans from the end of the Romans onwards. The medieval gallery covers Saint Alban, who was the first Christian martyr in Britain, together with St Albans Abbey that was founded on the site where he was martyred. Outside there is a small wildlife garden with a pond.

Bernards Heath is a heathland in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, the site of the Second Battle of St Albans in 1461 during the Wars of the Roses. In the 19th century it was the Hertfordshire County cricket ground.
First Battle of St Albans
The First Battle of St Albans, fought on 22 May 1455 at St Albans, 22 miles (35 km) north of London, traditionally marks the beginning of the Wars of the Roses. Richard, Duke of York and his ally, Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, defeated the Lancastrians under Edmund, Duke of Somerset, who was killed. York also captured Henry VI, who appointed him Constable of England.
Second Battle of St Albans
The Second Battle of St Albans was a battle of the English Wars of the Roses fought on 17 February 1461, at St Albans. The army of the Yorkist faction under the Earl of Warwick attempted to bar the road to London north of the town. The rival Lancastrian army used a wide outflanking manoeuvre to take Warwick by surprise, cut him off from London, and drive his army from the field. The victors also released the feeble King Henry, who had been Warwick's prisoner, from his captivity.
Abbey Gateway, St. Albans
The Abbey Gateway, St Albans was built in 1365 and is the last remaining building (except for the Abbey itself) of the Benedictine Monastery at St Albans, Hertfordshire. It was besieged during the Peasants' Revolt in 1381, and was used as a prison following the dissolution of the Abbey in 1539. It housed the third printing press in England, from 1479. Since 1871 it has been a part of St Albans School.
Radio Verulam
Radio Verulam 92.6 FM is a Hertfordshire based non-profit community radio station run by Verulam Community Radio Ltd (VCRL). The station is staffed entirely by volunteers, including station manager Phil Richards and over 70 volunteer technical and production staff. Until April 2010, Radio Verulam was based in Victoria Street. The studios are now in Hatfield Road, the station has a coverage area designated as a 5 kilometres radius from the transmitter in St Albans.
