Funicular de Montjuïc
The Funicular de Montjuïc, or Montjuïc funicular, is a funicular railway in the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The line is largely in tunnel and connects the Barcelona Metro Paral·lel station with the hill of Montjuïc and the various sporting and other facilities there. The funicular uses the same fares as the metro and is listed on maps as part of the metro network. It is operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), which also operates most of the metro lines.
Sants-Montjuïc
Sants-Montjuïc is one of the ten districts Barcelona has been split in since 1984, numbered District 3. Comprising very different areas of the city, it covers the southern part of Barcelona, joining the two former districts II and VII, as well as the different areas comprised in the Zona Franca. As of the 2005 census, it had a population of 177.636. It borders Les Corts, Eixample, Ciutat Vella, and the municipalities L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and El Prat de Llobregat.

The Palau dels Esports de Barcelona (Barcelona Sports Palace) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is on Lleida Street on the slopes of Montjuïc, a hill to the south east of the city centre. The arena is able to host competitions of any indoor sport. In 2000 it was adapted to better accommodate such shows and given a new name: Barcelona Teatre Musical - Palau dels Esports.
Drassanes (Barcelona Metro)
Drassanes is a Barcelona Metro station located underneath Portal de la Santa Madrona in El Raval, which is included in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona. It is named after the Drassanes Reials de Barcelona, the old shipyards of the city that currently hold the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, situated near the station. It is the closest station to the Port of Barcelona and one of the network's closest stations to the sea.
Teatre Grec
Teatre Grec is a theatre in the Montjuïc Mountain in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was built in 1929 by the Catalan architect Ramon Reventós as the ancient Greece theatres as part of the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition. The main use of this theatre is in summer festivals such as the Festival Grec de Barcelona.
Jardí Botànic de Barcelona
The Botanical garden of Barcelona is a botanical garden in the Montjuïc hill of Barcelona set amongst a number of stadiums used in the Summer Olympic Games of 1992. Although a botanic garden had been established in Barcelona as early as 1888, the current gardens date from 1999. It should not be confused with the Historic botanical garden of Barcelona (Catalan: Jardí Botànic Històric) founded in 1930 and reopened in 2003, also located in Montjuïc.
Poble Sec (Barcelona Metro)
Poble Sec is a station of the Barcelona Metro network located in the neighbourhood of the same name, in the district of Sants-Montjuïc, Barcelona. It's served by L3 (green line). It opened in 1975 under the name Parlamento along the other stations of the section Paral·lel-Sants Estació, then known as "IIIB". The station adopted its current name in 1982.
Centre d'Art Santa Mònica
Centre d'Art Santa Mònica, sometimes shortened as CASM, is a public museum of contemporary art in Barcelona opened in 1988. It's located in the Raval side of Rambla de Santa Mònica. It has no permanent collection but it hosts a number of travelling expositions of contemporary Spanish and international artists every year. Entrance is free. The building that hosts CASM is a 1626 Renaissance convent that became a monument of national interest in 1984.
Avinguda del Paral·lel
Avinguda del Paral·lel (English: Avenue of the Parallel) is one of the main streets of the city of Barcelona, dividing Ciutat Vella, Eixample and Sants-Montjuïc districts. It receives this name because it is (unlike any other street in Barcelona) parallel to the Equator.
Columbus Monument, Barcelona
The Columbus Monument (Spanish: Monumento a Colón or Mirador de Colón) is a 60 m tall monument to Christopher Columbus at the lower end of La Rambla, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was constructed for the Exposición Universal de Barcelona (1888) in honor to Columbus first voyage to the Americas. The monument serves as a reminder that Christopher Columbus reported to Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand V in Barcelona after his first trip to the new continent.
Sant Pau del Camp
Sant Pau del Camp (Catalan for "Saint Paul of the countryside" or "in the fields") is a church and former monastery in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. While the monastery now stands within the El Raval district in central Barcelona, it once stood outside the city (before 14th century); its rural location gave the church its name.
Battle of Montjuïc (1705)
The Battle of Montjuïc took place between 13 to 17 September 1705 during the War of the Spanish Succession. A multinational force under the command of Lord Peterborough had landed on the Catalan coast in August, intending to capture Barcelona. However, the force first had to take possession of Montjuïc Castle which was commanded by Francisco de Velasco. Late on the night of the 13th, a force under the command of George Darmstadt approached the castle in three separate columns.
Battle of Montjuïc (1641)
Battle of Montjuïc took place on 26 January 1641 during the Catalan Revolt. A Spanish force under Pedro Fajardo launched an attack on a Catalan rebel force, made up mainly of Miquelet militias led by Francesc de Tamarit, and their French allies. The Catalan rebels had taken up position on the heights of Montjuïc which dominated the city of Barcelona. The Spanish launched several concerted attempts to capture Montjuïc Castle, but were continually repulsed.

Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc
The Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc (English: Montjuïc Municipal Pool) is a sports venue situated in the Olympic Ring in Barcelona. The venue consists of two swimming pools: a pool for diving and a 25m outdoor pool. It hosted the diving events and the water polo preliminaries for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The location of the venue on a slope of the Montjuïc hill gives a panoramic view of the city of Barcelona. The swimming pools are open to the public during the summer.
