Volta a Catalunya
The Volta a Catalunya is a popular road bicycle race held annually in Catalonia, Spain. It is a part of the UCI World Tour programme, ranking second behind the Vuelta a España in popularity for Spain. Due to its place in the riding calendar, it was long viewed as an important Tour de France preparation race for cyclists. After the inauguration of the ProTour, the race moved to May, making it an alternative for the Giro.

Camp de Les Corts
Camp de Les Corts, commonly referred to as Les Corts, was a sports stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the home ground for FC Barcelona until the club moved to the Camp Nou in 1957. Les Corts was built as a result of a long-term plan by the club president, Joan Gamper, to provide FC Barcelona with its own stadium. It replaced the Camp del carrer Indústria as the home of FC Barcelona. Inaugurated in 1922, the initial capacity was 20,000.
Sants
Sants is a neighborhood in the southern part of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Formerly an industrial town on the plain bordering Barcelona, known as Santa Maria de Sants, it belongs nowadays to the district of Sants-Montjuïc and is bordered by the districts of Eixample to the northeast, Les Corts to the northwest, and by the municipality of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat to the south. Although old-fashioned, its name is sometimes still written Sans in some Spanish-language sources.
Mercat Nou (Barcelona Metro)
Mercat Nou is a station of the Barcelona Metro. It's served by L1 (red line). Built in 1926, it was one of the system's few open-air stations before being demolished and rebuilt due to the revamping of the metro and Renfe railway lines in the area. Two AVE lines cross the area right underneath the station on their way to Sants Estació. The station reopened in June 2009, after nearly two years of closure. According to Barcelona City Council the work cost €15.6 million.
Badal (Barcelona Metro)
Badal is a station on line 5 of the Barcelona Metro. The station is located underneath Carrer de Sants, between Carrer Arizala and Carrer Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It was opened in 1969. The side-platform station has a ticket hall on either end, the western one with two accesses at Carrer Arizala and Carrer Carreras Candi, the eastern one with one access at Carrer de Sants.

Plaça de Sants is a station serving line 1 and line 5 of the Barcelona Metro located in the district of Sants, in Barcelona. The Line 1 station was opened on 1926 and is located below the Carrer de Sants between Carrer d'Alcolea and Carrer de Guadiana. A connection to line 5 was added in 1969, under the Plaça de Sants between Carrer de Sants and Carrer Galileu. The station has six accesses.
Entença (Barcelona Metro)
Entença is a station on line 5 of the Barcelona Metro. The station is located underneath Carrer Rosselló in the Eixample, between Carrer Entença and Carrer Rocafort. It was opened in 1969. Plaça de Francesc Macià is a square in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Located in one of the main business areas of the city, it's one of the most transited points of Barcelona. It's crossed by Avinguda Diagonal and several other major thoroughfares: Avinguda de Josep Tarradellas, Travessera de Gràcia, Carrer del Comte d'Urgell and Avinguda de Pau Casals. It's part of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, even though it borders two other districts of Barcelona: Les Corts and Eixample.
Les Corts (district)
Les Corts is one of the ten districts into which Barcelona, Spain has been divided up since 1984, numbered IV. It was created in 1897 out of two former municipalities: Les Corts de Sarrià and some parts of Sarrià (the remaining of which went to become the current district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi). It had 82.588 inhabitants in the 2005 census, which makes it the least populous district of the city.
Hostafrancs (Barcelona Metro)
Hostafrancs is a Barcelona Metro station, located in the neighbourhood of the same name in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona, served by L1 (red line). It's still occasionally written as Hostafranchs, following the old Catalan spelling, chiefly in Spanish-language contexts. The station was inaugurated in 1926, as part of the first Ferrocarril Metropolità Transversal section ever built. It can be accessed from carrer Moianès and carrer Consell de Cent. The platforms are 88 metres long each.

It takes its name from a square located in the border between two districts of Barcelona: Les Corts and Sants-Montjuïc, and in the intersection of the streets Avinguda de Madrid, Carrer de Berlin, Carrer dels Comtes de Bell-lloc and Carrer de Vallespir, a short walk away from the major railway station Estació de Sants.

Plaça dels Països Catalans is a square in Barcelona on one side of the city's central railway station, Estació de Sants, in the district of Sants-Montjuïc. It borders carrer de Tarragona, carrer de Numància and Avinguda Roma. It was so named in 1989 after the Catalan Countries. The square was inaugurated in its current form in 1983, built over the station rail yard, and it's notable for its lack of vegetation.
