Bromsgrove District
Bromsgrove is a local government district in Worcestershire, England. Its council is based in the town of Bromsgrove. It borders the built up area of Birmingham to the north. Other places in the district include Alvechurch, Aston Fields, Belbroughton, Catshill, Clent, Hagley, Rubery, Stoke Prior and Wythall. The current district was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of Bromsgrove urban district and Bromsgrove Rural District.

Grafton Manor
Grafton Manor (13 miles north-east of Worcester & 2 1/2 miles south-west of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire) was established before the Norman Conquest. For a time, in the reign of Henry II to Edward I, it was subject to forest law as part of the Forest of Feckenham. The Lords of the Manor were influential figures in medieval and early modern Worcestershire, with a number becoming High Sheriffs or Members of Parliament for Worcestershire.

The Castlebourne folly in the parish of Belbroughton England, was built as a sham castle towards the end of the eighteenth century and is similar in age and design to Clent Castle another folly about 2.2 miles away in an adjacent parish of Clent. In the middle nineteenth century a house, Castlebourne (originally Castle Bourne) was built in a Gothic castle style close to the folly and connected by a wall about 20 yards long and 5 yards high with an archway.
