The Phoenix Club is a fictional working men's club in Farnworth near Bolton, and is the centerpiece of the acclaimed UK sitcom Phoenix Nights. The Phoenix Club is home to entertainment of all types, including Bingo, singing, cabaret and a wide range of themed nights. The club was created and is run by Brian Potter along with his staff. The club has a number of workers, all with their own part to it.

Moses Gate railway station serves the Moses Gate suburb of Farnworth in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. It lies on the Manchester-Preston Line, though only local services run by Northern Rail call here. Until the late 1970s (see British Rail Timetable 1973, 1974 and 1978), Moses Gate was one of the more important stations on the line between Manchester Victoria and Bolton, with Sunday service and high patronage.

Municipal Borough of Farnworth

The Municipal Borough of Farnworth was a local government district centred on the town of Farnworth in the administrative county of Lancashire, England. In 1863, a Local board of health was established for the township of Farnworth, and in 1866, it also became a separate civil parish. In 1899, under the Local Government Act 1894, Farnworth became an urban district, and in 1939 it was granted by a charter to become a municipal borough.

Century Mill, Farnworth

Century Mill, Farnworth is a cotton spinning mill in Farnworth, Bolton, Greater Manchester. It was built in the early 20th century, for ring spinning. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. It was still standing with its chimney in 2004.
