Highbury, also known as Highbury Hall, now a Grade II* listed building, was commissioned as his Birmingham residence by Joseph Chamberlain in 1878, two years after he became Member of Parliament for Birmingham. It received its name from the Highbury area of London, where Chamberlain lived as a child. The architect was John Henry Chamberlain (no relation) who incorporated much terracotta decoration. Joseph Chamberlain lived in Highbury from 1880 until his death in 1914.

The King David School, of Birmingham, England was founded in 1865 as an infants and primary Jewish day school. Students learn Hebrew, eat kosher food, recite Jewish prayers, and celebrate Israeli holidays. In the late 1950s, the declining local Jewish population led the school to accept non-Jewish students, most of whom were Muslim due to the changing demographics. As a result, in 2007 about half of the school's 247 students were reportedly Muslim, with less than 40% Jewish.

Hazelwell was a railway station on the Camp Hill Line in Birmingham, England. It was built in 1903, between the existing Kings Heath and Lifford stations. The station closed in 1941, when passenger services were withdrawn from the line due to "wartime economy measures", and was not reopened. The line remained open for freight and is also used for some longer distance passenger services.

The Ritz Ballroom in York Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham, England, was a 1960s music venue, known for the number of artists it hosted, who went on to become international successes, especially those on the roster of Brian Epstein. Operated by Joe Regan and his wife Mary, the venue used a former cinema. Acts which appeared there included The Beatles, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. In March 2013, the building, by then used as shop, was destroyed by fire.
