Melbourne Hall
Melbourne Hall, Derbyshire, England was once the seat of the Victorian Prime Minister William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne, and thus is the ultimate origin for the naming of Melbourne, Australia. The house is now the seat of Lord Ralph Kerr and Lady Kerr and is open to the public. The house is a Grade II* listed building; more than twenty features in the grounds are Grade I listed.

Newbold otherwise Newbold Coleorton is a hamlet in the parish of Worthington, Leicestershire, England. Lount
Lount is a small village near Ashby-De-La-Zouch in north-west Leicestershire, England. It has a population of 50 (approx). It has no local amenities apart from a public house. The village straddles the B587 road and is situated near to the A42 road. The village was traditionally linked to the Staunton Harold Hall estate, and made up of 17th–19th century cottages.
Staunton Harold Reservoir
Staunton Harold Reservoir is a large reservoir under the management of Severn Trent Water, located between Melbourne and Ticknall in Derbyshire, England. Most of the water is within Derbyshire but a small part of the southern shore is over the border in Leicestershire. The reservoir was built in 1964 at the behest of the River Dove Water Board, meant to serve Leicester and the towns of northern Leicestershire.

Bluebell Arboretum is an arboretum and associated plant nursery near the village of Smisby in South Derbyshire, England. It is a Royal Horticultural Society recommended garden, comprising a large selection of rare trees, shrubs and climbers growing in a woodland garden. Planting was started by the owners, Suzette and Robert Vernon in 1992 on what was then a six acre (2.2 hectare) meadow, just under 500 feet (150 metres) above sea level.
Staunton Harold Hall
Staunton Harold Hall is a large grade I listed country house situated within the 2,000-acre Staunton Harold Park in Leicestershire. The hall is a Georgian style house largely rebuilt in 1763 for Washington Shirley, 5th Earl Ferrers It is a two storey brick building with stone dressing in the form of a square enclosing a quadrangle. The house is situated in the 2,000-acre Staunton Harold Park in which the 17th century Grade I listed Chapel of the Holy Trinity (Staunton Harold church) also stands.
