Whitwick
Whitwick is a village in Leicestershire, England and is an ancient parish which formerly included the equally historic villages of Thringstone and Swannington. It was an important manor in the Middle Ages, which once included Bardon and Markfield, parts of Hugglescote, Donington le Heath, Ratby, Bocheston, Newtown Unthank and Whittington. As early as 1293, Whitwick had a weekly market and a four day fair. The population of Whitwick, according to the 2001 census is 10,815 persons.
Grace-Dieu
Grace-Dieu is a placename of Leicestershire, England, named after Grace Dieu Priory which fell into disrepair following the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry the 8th. The ruins are visble from the main road to Loughborough. Gracedieu manor was a private house but is now a boy's school. It is near to Thringstone. Gracedieu Vineyard is south facing and was established in 1991 in Charnwood Forest. Its 'Green Man' wine based on the Madeleine Angevine grape is known for its floral bouquet.
Fox and Goose Ground
The Fox and Goose Sports Ground was a sports ground attached to the Fox & Goose public house (now demolished) in Coalville, Leicestershire. Many sports events were held there and there were two first class circket games completed at the ground. The home team being Leicestershire County Cricket Club and the away team on both occasions, being Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Leicestershire won both games. The games were held in 1913 and 1914. The area is now being redeveloped.
Town Ground, Coalville
The Town Ground is a cricket stadium based on Broom Leys Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, England. There was only ever one first class county cricket game here, which was held in 1950. The game involved Leicestershire and Warwickshire. Warwickshire won the game by 6 wickets. This is the home ground to Broomleys Cricket Club.
Whitwick railway station
Whitwick railway station was built by the Charnwood Forest Company, serving the Charnwood Forest Railway, and was officially opened with the rest of the completed line on 16 April 1883. Following the closure of passenger traffic (aside from a few specials and other organised events) in 1931, the station building became a blacksmiths. Following total line closure in 1963, the history of the building is more difficult to chart.
New Swannington
New Swannington is the name of an area located between the Leicestershire villages of Whitwick and Swannington, comprising just a handful of buildings and houses which straddle the stretch of Church Lane which runs from Swannington to the point where it is intersected by Thornborough Road and Brooks Lane at Whitwick. The only buildings of note are an off-licence, the New Swannington Primary School and a Wesleyan Reform Church, built in 1906.

The Grace Dieu Priory was an Augustinian priory near Thringstone in Leicestershire, England. It was founded around 1235-1241 by Roesia de Verdon and dissolved in October in 1538. It was dedicated to the Holy Trinity and St Mary.

Grace Dieu Manor is a 19th-century country house near Thringstone in Leicestershire, England, now occupied by Grace Dieu Manor School. It is a Grade II listed building.
