Bagworth and Thornton is a civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England, west of Leicester. The 2001 Census recorded a population of 1,836. The parish includes the villages of Bagworth and Thornton.

Stanton-under-Bardon is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire, England. It has a population of approximately 1,000. The houses are generally constructed out of red brick, with many on Main Street being terraced and having long, thin gardens. The village is situated near junction 22 of the M1 motorway, close to Markfield, Stanton shares a local newspaper with Markfield, called the Markfield and Stanton Under Bardon Herald.

Thornton Reservoir
Thornton Reservoir is a small reservoir situated in the National Forest near the village of Thornton in Leicestershire. It has a surface area of 75 acres and a perimeter of 2.45 miles . It was originally built in 1854 when it had its own treatment works which were situated to the south of the current dam. It is now owned by Severn Trent and the water is treated a few miles away at Cropston Reservoir to which it runs via Rothley Brook.
