Ich bin ein Berliner
"Ich bin ein Berliner" ("I am a Berliner") is a quotation from a June 26, 1963, speech by U.S. President John F. Kennedy in West Berlin. He was underlining the support of the United States for West Germany 22 months after the Soviet-supported East Germany erected the Berlin Wall as a barrier to prevent movement between East and West. The message was aimed as much at the Soviets as it was at Berliners, and was a clear statement of U.S. policy in the wake of the construction of the Berlin Wall.
John-F.-Kennedy-Platz
John-F. -Kennedy-Platz (John F. Kennedy Square), formerly Rudolph-Wilde-Platz, in Berlin-Schöneberg is the square in front of the former city hall of West Berlin. It was here that US President John F. Kennedy gave his famous speech to the Berliners, in which he stated: "Ich bin ein Berliner". The square was renamed John-F. -Kennedy-Platz on 25 November 1963, three days after Kennedy's assassination. A large plaque dedicated to Kennedy is mounted on a column at the entrance to the city hall.
Rathaus Schöneberg
Rathaus Schöneberg is the city hall for the borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg in Berlin. From 1949 until 1993 it served as the seat of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin and until 1991 also as the office of the Governing Mayor.

The 1986 Berlin discotheque bombing was a terrorist attack on the La Belle discothèque in West Berlin, Germany, an entertainment venue that was commonly frequented by United States soldiers. A bomb placed under a table near the disk jockey's booth exploded at 1:45 am CET on April 5, 1986, killing three people and injuring around 230 people, including 79 American servicemen. RIAS (German: Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor; English: Broadcasting in the American Sector) was a radio and television station in the American Sector of Berlin during the Cold War. It was founded by the US occupational authorities after World War II in 1946 to provide the German population in and around Berlin with news and political reporting and for its first seven months was distributed (as DIAS – Drahtfunk im amerikanischen Sektor) via wired relay only.
Rote Insel
Rote Insel (literally, Red Island) is the name colloquially given to a neighborhood in the Schöneberg district of the German capital, Berlin. As such, the Island is part of Berlin's 7th administrative borough, Tempelhof-Schöneberg.
Rathaus Schöneberg (Berlin U-Bahn)
Rathaus Schöneberg is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U4. Opened in 1910 as station "Stadtpark", designed by J.E. Schaudt. From 1940 to 1951 it was closed due to severe damage during the war. It was reopened with the current name.

Berlin Innsbrucker Platz is a railway station in the Schöneberg district of Berlin and located on the square of the same name. It is served by the Ringbahn lines S41, S42, S45 and S46 of the Berlin S-Bahn, as well as by the U-Bahn line U4. The U-Bahn station opened in 1910 with the original name Hauptstraße after the section of the Reichsstraße 1 running through the districts of Schöneberg and Friedenau.
Bayerischer Platz (Berlin U-Bahn)
Bayerischer Platz is a Berlin U-Bahn station on the U4 and the U7. The station is located under the square of the same name in the centre of the Bayerisches Viertel neighbourhood in Schöneberg. The U4 station opened with the rest of that line on 1 December 1910 and is now a protected historic landmark; the U7 part of the station opened on 29 January 1971.

Deutschlandradio Kultur (abbreviated to DLR Kultur or DKultur) is the culture-oriented radio station of the German national Deutschlandradio service. From 1994 to March 2005 the station was known as "DeutschlandRadio Berlin". Studio facilities are based in the former RIAS building at Hans-Rosenthal-Platz in Schöneberg, Berlin.
Eisenacher Straße (Berlin U-Bahn)
Eisenacher Straße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7. R.G. Rümmler constructed this station which was opened 1971. The wall is covered with green asbestos cement panels. As Eisenach is a city nearby the forest in Thuringia which is called the green heart of Germany, Rümmler chose green as the color of this station. The next station is Kleistpark.
Berlin Bundesplatz station
Berlin Bundesplatz is a railway station in the Wilmersdorf district of Berlin. It is served by the S-Bahn lines S41, S42, S45 and S46 and the U-Bahn line U9. Opened in 1971 by R.G. Rümmler, it was build next to a highway tunnel. There is no direct connection between the two directions of the subways because the platforms are located on the right of each highway direction. Mentionable is the different color scheme on the stations heading north/south.

Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz (Berlin U-Bahn)
Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U9. Opened in 1971, this station was created by Rümmler. It was build just next to the grounding of the 1893 built church "Zum Guten Hirten". The place was named after Fr. Wilhelm the emperor Friedrich III. who died after only 99 days being emperor. 1946 there was a proposal to rename the station to Engelsplatz, which was not carried out.
Berlin Südkreuz
Berlin Südkreuz is a railway station in the German capital Berlin. The station was originally opened in 1898 and is an interchange station. The Berlin Ringbahn line of the Berlin S-Bahn metro railway is situated on the upper level and connects to the east and west, whilst the Anhalter Bahn and Dresdner Bahn intercity railway routes reach the station on the lower, north-south level.
