River Anker
The River Anker is a river in England that flows through the centre of Nuneaton towards Tamworth in Staffordshire, then continues on and merges with the River Tame in Tamworth. The Anker is popular with anglers and is known to contain some large pike and chub. Wilnecote railway station is a small unmanned station serving Wilnecote 1.5 miles (2 km) south of Tamworth town centre in Staffordshire, England. The station is situated beneath a bridge which carries the former A5 Watling Street. It was opened in 1842 by the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway as Wilnecote and Fazeley, the name being shortened in 1904.

Tamworth was a rural district in the English Midlands from 1894 to 1965. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from Tamworth rural sanitary district, and was one of a handful of rural districts to cross county boundaries, with part in Staffordshire and part in Warwickshire. It entirely surrounded the town of Tamworth.
Belgrave, Tamworth
Belgrave is an area of Tamworth, Staffordshire, roughly 2.5 km from the town centre. Starting life as a mining village, Belgrave had its own colliery up until the late 19th century. The area was considerably expanded in the 1970s with the addition of 2 new housing estates. Belgrave has good transport links, with the M42 and A5 (Watling street) just minutes away. Birchmoor
Birchmoor is a former coal mining village in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England. It lies about one mile south-west of Polesworth, and around 2m east of Tamworth, from which it is separated by the M42 motorway and the Staffordshire county boundary. Birchmoor Colliery (also known as Cockspur Colliery) was opened in 1860 and closed in 1927.
