Yorton
Yorton is a small village in Shropshire, England. Its main feature is the Railway Hotel, a family-owned free house specialising in real ales and old-fashioned hospitality. It is notable because of its railway station, which is on the Welsh Marches Line between Wem and Shrewsbury. The station is unusual in being a request stop. Nearby is the larger village of Clive. Approximately 1 mile away to the south lies the hamlet of Yorton Heath.

Grinshill is near to the village of Clive. The A49 runs just to the east of the village. Stone has been quarried at Grinshill since at least the twelfth century.
Harmer Hill
Harmer Hill is a village in Shropshire, England on the A528 south of Wem and north of Shrewsbury. The name Harmer comes from the two words "hare" and "mere", as there was a lake situated in a plain below the hill, but it was drained in the 15th century for farm land. The village is home to two pubs, The Bridgewater Arms and the Red Castle. There is a village hall and chapel. Harmer Hill has many apparent Ghosts, including the "White Lady".
Yorton railway station
Yorton railway station serves the villages of Yorton and Clive in Shropshire, England. It is 7¼ miles (11.5 km) north of Shrewsbury on the Welsh Marches Line towards Crewe. It has two platforms. Trains only stop here upon request. The station was designated for the axe in Dr Beeching's "The Reshaping of British Railways" in the 1960s. However, because it is on the line linking two major cities in Manchester and Cardiff, it was ultimately saved.

Preston Gubbals
Preston Gubbals is a small village in Shropshire, England. It lies on the A528 Shrewsbury-Ellesmere road and is in the parish of Pimhill. The name, spelt Preston Gubbalds in some historical sources, is derived from the Old English for "priest's settlement", along with the name of Godebold or Godbold, a priest who was subtenant of the manor in 1066 and at the time of the Domesday Book survey.
