Baschurch is a large village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. grid reference SJ425220 It lies in North Shropshire, north of Shrewsbury. Population: 1,475 (2001 census). The village has strong links to Shrewsbury to the south-east, Oswestry to the north-west, and Wem to the north-east. Baschurch is twinned with the town of Giat in the French département of Puy-de-Dôme, in the Auvergne région. There is a large village not far from Baschurch called Ruyton-XI-Towns.

Weston Lullingfields is a village in Shropshire, England. It is located about 15km north west of Shrewsbury. The village name 'Weston' is a common one in England. It is Anglo Saxon in origin and means 'west farm'. Weston Lullingfields was a terminus of a branch of the Ellesmere Canal known as the Weston Branch. The canal was originally intended to continue on to Shrewsbury, but was never completed as intended.

The southern part, known as Walford Heath, is situated at the crossroads of the B5067 road with the Merrington to Yeaton lane, and is in the parish of Pimhill. The speed limit here has recently been reduced to 40 mph.

Petton is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It was mentioned in Domesday as "Peetone", a name probably derived from Old English paec-tun, "settlement by the hill". Petton is near to the village and parish of Cockshutt. The two parishes have in recent years combined their parish councils under the name Cockshutt-cum-Petton.

Baschurch railway station

Baschurch railway station was a minor station located about ten miles north of Shrewsbury on the GWR’s Paddington to Birkenhead main line. Today this is part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line. The station building (now a private house) can be seen on the west side of the line adjacent Baschurch level crossing; it was designed by Thomas Mainwaring Penson.

Stanwardine Halt railway station

Stanwardine Halt was a minor station located north of Shrewsbury on the GWR's Paddington to Birkenhead main line. It was opened in the nineteen thirties as part of the GWR's halt construction programme, aimed at combatting growing competition from bus services. Today the route is part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line. Nothing now remains on the site.
