Bomere Heath is a village in Shropshire, England lying north of the county town of Shrewsbury and in between Baschurch and Harlescott. It is situated between the A528 road and Berwick Road. The village sports a convenience store, a post office, chip shop, hairdressers,and a pub, The Red Lion. It is the main village of the Pimhill parish. The parish is now known as "Bomere Heath and District". Nearby, to the north, is the small village of Merrington.

Myddle—also formerly known as Mydle, Middle, Midle, M'dle, Meadley and Medle—is a small village in Shropshire, England, about 10 miles north of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. Myddle lies in the parish of Myddle with Broughton-le-Strange. The 2001 census recorded a population of 1,142 in the village. In a book written about Myddle in 1700, the author, Richard Gough, describes the parish community and its doings, and his work has been used as a study of human relations.

Oldwoods Halt railway station

Oldwoods Halt was a minor station located north of Shrewsbury on the GWR’s Paddington to Birkenhead Woodside main line. It was opened in the nineteen thirties as part of the GWR's halt construction programme, aimed at combatting growing competition from bus services. Today the route is part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line. Nothing now remains of the halt although the area of the adjacent goods siding/s can still be seen on the west side of the line.
