Prees railway station serves the village of Prees in Shropshire, England, although the actual village is a mile to the east of the station. The station is 18 miles 36 chains from Crewe South Junction (approximately 14.0 mi north of Shrewsbury) on the Welsh Marches Line. The station has two platforms and trains only stop here upon request.

Wem Rural is a civil parish in Shropshire, England that encircles the market town of Wem which is a separate parish ("Wem Urban"). The parish has three wards - Edstaston ward to the north and north east of Wem, Newtown ward to the north and north west of Wem and the confusingly named Wem ward to the west, south and east of Wem. The parish was formed in 1900 from the outer part of Wem, the inner part of which became the parish of Wem Urban in the Wem urban district.

Prees Branch Canal Nature Reserve
Prees Branch Canal Nature Reserve is a Shropshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve in the civil parish of Whixall, Shropshire, England. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the presence of rare pondweeds, and also is the home of watervoles. The reserve contains a number of uncommon plants and is visited by waterfowl. Otters sometimes occur. The Prees Branch Canal was originally meant to be an extension of The Ellesmere Canal to Prees, but was only constructed as far as Quina Brook.
St Mary's Church, Edstaston
St Mary's Church, Edstaston, is located in the village of Edstaston, in the civil parish of Wem Rural, Shropshire, England. The church is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Wem and Whitchurch, the archdeaconry of Salop, and the diocese of Hereford. Its benefice is united with those of St Chad, Prees, Holy Emmanuel, Fauls, Christ Church, Tilstock, and St Mary, Whixall. The church is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
