Limey Way

The Limey Way is a 65-kilometre Challenge walk through Derbyshire, England. It starts at Castleton and progesses through 15 major and 5 minor limestone dales to reach the River Dove and Dovedale, the walk's end. The walk was first described in the 1960s and a Challenge Recorder was appointed: all persons who submitted a full verified account received a woven badge.

Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve

The Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve is a series of unconnected limestone dales in the Peak District National Park. It is managed by Natural England and has a permanent staff of wardens who carry out conservation works and ensure the dales are usable for recreation. The dales are: Lathkill Dale Cressbrook Dale Monk's Dale Long Dale Hay Dale They are all in the White Peak National Character Area, of which dales are an integral part.
