Haddon Hall

Haddon Hall is an English country house on the River Wye at Bakewell, Derbyshire, one of the seats of the Duke of Rutland. It is currently occupied by Lord Edward Manners and his family. In form a medieval manor house, it has been described as "the most complete and most interesting house of [its its] period". The origins of the hall date to the 11th century. The current medieval and Tudor hall includes additions added at various stages between the 13th and the 17th centuries.

Doll Tor

Doll Tor, occasionally known as the Six Stones, is a small stone circle near Birchover, west of Stanton Moor in the Derbyshire Peak District. Dating from the Bronze Age, the circle consists of six standing stones. The site was excavated in 1852 by Thomas Bateman, and again from 1931 to 1933 by J. P. Heathcote. During this second excavation, three stones were smashed and later repaired with cement.

Stanton-in-Peak is a village in the Peak District, Derbyshire, It is about seven miles north-west of Matlock, on the north side of Stanton Moor, from Birchover. There is a fine 19th century Parish Church, and many fine stone houses, with mullion windows. There is also a stately home, Stanton Park, a combination of the English Classical style, and later Palladian alterations, which is a private house.

Stanton Hall, Stanton in Peak

Stanton Hall is a privately owned country house at Stanton in Peak in the Derbyshire Peak District, the home of the Davie-Thornhill family. It is a Grade II* listed building. The manor of Stanton was owned for some two centuries by the Bache family, but passed to Thornhill by the 1696 marriage of Mary Pegge, heiress of the estate, to John Thornhill of Thornhill. The Thornhill family and their direct descendants are still in residence. The house has three principal building phases.
