Haddon Hall

Haddon Hall is an English country house on the River Wye at Bakewell, Derbyshire, one of the seats of the Duke of Rutland. It is currently occupied by Lord Edward Manners and his family. In form a medieval manor house, it has been described as "the most complete and most interesting house of [its its] period". The origins of the hall date to the 11th century. The current medieval and Tudor hall includes additions added at various stages between the 13th and the 17th centuries.

Bakewell Castle

Bakewell Castle was in the town of Bakewell, Derbyshire. It was a motte and bailey castle built in the 12th century. It was razed to the ground, as a consequence of the English Civil War, and now only the earthworks remain. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Hassop Hall

Hassop Hall is a 17th-century country house near Bakewell, Derbyshire which is now operated as an hotel. It is a Grade II* listed building. The Manor was owned by the Foljambe family until the 14th century when it passed by the marriage of Alice Foljambe to Sir Robert Plumpton. His son Sir William Plumpton served as High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1453. The Plumptons sold the estate in 1498 to Catherine Eyre. The manor house was substantially rebuilt in the early 17th century by Thomas Eyre.

Burton Closes

Burton Closes is a 19th century country house, now in use as a residential nursing home, situated at Haddon Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire. It is a Grade II* listed building. The house was newly built in 1848 for John Allcard, a wealthy Quaker banker and stockbroker of Derby. It was originally built as a modest two bedroomed house, to a design by architect Joseph Paxton with interiors by Augustus Pugin and intended as a summer retreat.

Holme Hall near Bakewell. Derbyshire, is a privately owned 17th-century country house. It is a Grade I listed building. The house was built, on the site of a previous manor house, in 1626 for Bernard Wells of Marple Hall. Their daughter Mary married Henry Bradshaw, brother of regicide John Bradshaw. Another daughter and coheiress married Robert Eyre and inherited Holme in 1658.
