Monsal Dale

Monsal Dale is a valley in the Peak District of Derbyshire in England. In geological history this area of Derbyshire was long ago under water, and is formed from a subsequent uplift of resultant sedimentary deposits, known as the Derbyshire Dome. Overlying sandstones and shales have been eroded away, exposing the underlying limestone which forms the basis of the area today, which is consequently known as the White Peak.

Hassop Hall

Hassop Hall is a 17th-century country house near Bakewell, Derbyshire which is now operated as an hotel. It is a Grade II* listed building. The Manor was owned by the Foljambe family until the 14th century when it passed by the marriage of Alice Foljambe to Sir Robert Plumpton. His son Sir William Plumpton served as High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1453. The Plumptons sold the estate in 1498 to Catherine Eyre. The manor house was substantially rebuilt in the early 17th century by Thomas Eyre.

Holme Hall near Bakewell. Derbyshire, is a privately owned 17th-century country house. It is a Grade I listed building. The house was built, on the site of a previous manor house, in 1626 for Bernard Wells of Marple Hall. Their daughter Mary married Henry Bradshaw, brother of regicide John Bradshaw. Another daughter and coheiress married Robert Eyre and inherited Holme in 1658.
