Tardebigge Engine House
Tardebigge Engine House is a former canal-pumping engine house at Tardebigge, Worcestershire, England. It is grade II listed. It stands near lock 57 (one lock below the top lock, 58) of the Tardebigge Locks on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and contained a steam powered Newcomen-Watt beam engine, which was removed in 1915. It was used to pump water from the adjacent Tardebigge feeder reservoir, which is about 50 ft (15.2 m) below the level of the top pound of the canal.
Tardebigge Locks
Tardebigge Locks or the Tardebigge Flight is the longest flight of locks in the UK, comprising 30 narrow locks on a two and a quarter mile stretch of the Worcester and Birmingham Canal at Tardebigge, Worcestershire. It raises the waterway some 220 feet, and lies in between the Tardebigge tunnel (length 580 yards) to the North and the Stoke Prior flight of 6 narrow locks to the South. The Tardebigge Engine House is also on this stretch.
Tardebigge Lake
Tardebigge Lake is a large feeder reservoir, about 25 acres in size, built to supply water for the famous flight of locks running from Tardebigge towards Worcester, on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. It is maintained by British Waterways and still supplies water to the canal system. The lake is up to 40-foot deep at the dam end, shelving off to around 15 feet at the inlet end. Access to walkers is allowed to the dam end and the side of the lake alongside the canal path.

Feckenham Forest
Feckenham Forest was a royal forest, centred around the town of Feckenham, covering large parts of west Worcestershire and Warwickshire. As such, it was not entirely wooded, nor entirely the property of the King. Rather, the King had legal rights over game, wood and grazing within the forest, and special courts imposed harsh penalties when rights were violated. Courts and the forest gaol were located at Feckenham and executions took place at Gallows Green near Hanbury.
