Cotton College

Cotton College was a Roman Catholic boarding school in Cotton near Oakamoor, North Staffordshire, England, also known as Saint Wilfrid's College. It closed in 1987 and the site is now derelict. It was founded in 1763 by William Errington, at the recommendation of Bishop Richard Challoner, at Sedgley Park, Sedgley, Staffordshire - now a hotel within Wolverhampton. In 1873 it moved to Cotton Hall.

Oblivion is a steel roller coaster located at Alton Towers in England. The ride opened as the world's first vertical drop roller coaster on March 14, 1998 amidst a large publicity campaign. The ride has a height restriction of 1.4 metres. With a maximum speed of 68 mph, it is the third fastest roller coaster in the UK behind Stealth in Thorpe Park and the Pepsi Max Big One in Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Sonic Spinball (previously known as Spinball Whizzer), is a steel spinning roller coaster made by Maurer Söhne of Germany and sponsored by SEGA. The ride is located in the Adventure Land area of Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. It's based on SEGA's number one franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. "Sonic Spinball" itself was an early pinball game released for Sega's Mega Drive, Game Gear and Master System systems, which is referenced in the ride's theming.

Beastie (roller coaster)

Beastie was a steel family roller coaster made by Pinfari of Italy. The coaster is located in the Adventure Land area of Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. The ride features a tunnel and performs two laps of the circuit each run. Originally opening in the Festival Park (now Dark Forest) area of the park under the name Mini-Dragon, it allowed younger visitors of the park to experience the thrill of a roller coaster. It was renamed in 1987 to just the "Dragon".

Black Hole (roller coaster)

Black Hole was an enclosed steel roller coaster at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. It operated from 1984 until 2005. The coaster was located within a huge silvery black tent (formerly green and yellow) that ensured the ride took place in total darkness. The coaster itself was a Jet Star 2, designed by Anton Schwarzkopf. During the time that the ride operated, the park also operated an outdoor Jet Star 3, the Beast.

Oakamoor tunnel

Oakamoor Tunnel was a 497-yard long tunnel located north of Oakamoor railway station on the former Uttoxeter to North Rode section of the North Staffordshire Railway. The tunnel opened in 1849 when the line was opened. The tunnel was closed in 1964 with the closure of passenger and freight service between Uttoxeter and Oakamoor Sand Sidings (north of the tunnel).
