Rita (roller coaster)

Rita is an Intamin accelerator coaster located in the Dark Forest area of Alton Towers in Staffordshire, England. It accelerates to 61.1 mph in 2.5 seconds. The ride is loosely based on drag racing. It is similar to Stealth at Thorpe Park which opened in 2006, though this partly changed with the retheming of Ug Land into the Dark Forest for 2010. It now stands as an abandoned drag racer that is used as the escape cart to escape the Dark Forest.

Twirling Toadstool (Alton Towers)

Twirling Toadstool is a ride at the British theme park Alton Towers. This ride is made up of many chairs hanging from the ride by long chains. When the ride begins, the chairs are lifted several metres off the ground, then they begin to rotate. Once the chairs have been lifted to a certain height, and are rotating fast enough, the chairs are banked as the ride tilts. This creates a strange up and down spinning motion, which may well be uncomfortable for people who don't like this kind of ride.

Located at 52.9846, -1.89399 (Lat. / Lng.), about 1 miles away.
