Bowness-on-Solway
Bowness-on-Solway is a village of fewer than 100 houses on the Solway Firth separating England and Scotland. It is in North-West Cumbria to the west of Carlisle on the English side. The western end of Hadrian's Wall is a notable tourist attraction, along with beaches and wading birds. The village is part of the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Battle of Annan
The Battle of Annan, known in the sources as the Camisade of Annan took place on December 16, 1332. It took place at Annan, Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. In it the Bruce loyalist supporters of King David II of Scotland surprised Edward Balliol and his supporters while they were in bed, and completely threw them out of Scotland.
Everholm Stadium
Everholm Stadium is an athletics and football stadium in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway. It was the home ground of Gretna F.C. 2008 for most of the 2008–09 season, although the club's management stated their desire to move the club to Raydale Park in Gretna, home to the club's defunct predecessor Gretna F.C. Galabank, the ground of Annan Athletic, the team who replaced Gretna in the Scottish Football League, is just a few hundred metres from Everholm.

Battle of Annan Moor
The Battle of Annan Moor was a battle of the Scottish civil war, part of the intertwined Wars of the Three Kingdoms that took place in England, Ireland, and Scotland between 1639 and 1651. The battle took place on 20 and 21 October 1645 between the Royalists under Lord Digby and Marmaduke Langdale against the newly-raised cavalry regiment commanded by Sir John Brown of Fordell. The Royalists were defeated and lost more than half of their 600 men as casualties or prisoners.
St Michael's Church, Bowness-on-Solway
St Michael's Church, Bowness-on-Solway, is located in the village of Bowness-on-Solway, Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Carlisle, the archdeaconry of Carlisle, and the diocese of Carlisle. Its benefice is united with those of St Bride, Kirkbride, and St John the Evangelist, Newton Arlosh. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.
Annan Castle
Annan Castle, was a castle that was located on the banks of the River Annan, in Annan, Scotland. A motte and bailey castle was built in the 12th century by the de Brus family, Lords of Annandale. A flood in the mid-12th century changed the course of the River Annan, which caused the castle mound to be partially eroded. The castle was abandoned as the main seat of the de Brus family, who moved to Lochmaben Castle.
