Redmile
Redmile is a village and civil parish in the Melton district of Leicestershire, England, about 15 miles north of Melton Mowbray and 10 miles west of Grantham, in the Vale of Belvoir. In 1936 the adjoining civil parishes of Barkestone and Plungar were merged into Redmile, and the parish is sometimes known as Barkestone, Plungar and Redmile. Belvoir was a rural district in Leicestershire, England from 1894 to 1935. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the Grantham Rural Sanitary District that was in Leicestershire. It was a small district, named after the village of Belvoir and contained nine parishes: Barkestone Belvoir Bottesford Croxton Kerrial Harston Knipton Muston Plungar Redmile.

Royal Air Force Station Bottesford or more simply RAF Bottesford is a former Royal Air Force station located on the Leicestershire-Lincolnshire county border, 6.8 miles north west of Grantham, Lincolnshire and 7.6 miles south of Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire and about 107 miles north-northwest of London, England. Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Army Air Forces (USAAF).
Redmile railway station
Redmile railway station was a railway station serving the villages of Redmile and Barkestone-le-Vale, Nottinghamshire and also Belvoir Castle. It was on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway and opened in 1879 and closed to passengers in 1951 but remained in use for oil deliveries into the 1980s.
Bottesford South railway station
Bottesford South railway station was a railway station serving the village of Bottesford, Leicestershire, on the Great Northern and London and North Western Joint Railway. It opened in 1879 and was served by LNWR trains running between Northampton and Newark and Great Northern Railway trains running between Melton Mowbray and Grantham. The station closed when the Northampton to Newark through service was withdrawn and replaced by an infrequent connecting service in 1882.
Belvoir Priory
Belvoir Priory was a Benedictine priory adjacent to Belvoir Castle. Although once described as in Lincolnshire, England it is within the modern Boundaries of Leicestershire, near the present Belvoir lodge. Begun in 1076 by Robert de Todeni, lord of Belvoir with the intention of being an independent Abbey, it was converted before completion into a cell of St Albans Abbey at the advice of Archbishop Lanfranc. It was disestablished in 1539, as part of the closure of the parent abbey.
St Mary the Virgin's Church, Bottesford
St Mary the Virgin's Church, Bottesford, is located in the village of Bottesford, Leicestershire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Framland, the archdeaconry of Leicester, and the diocese of Leicester. Its benefice is united with those of eight local parishes. The church is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
