The De La Warr Pavilion

The De La Warr Pavilion is an International Style building constructed in 1935 and designed by the architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff; considered by some to be in an Art Deco style. Some claim it to be the first major Modernist public building in Britain, although in fact it was preceded by some months by the Dutch-influenced Hornsey Town Hall. Collington railway station

Collington railway station serves Collington, at the western end of Bexhill in East Sussex. It is on the East Coastway Line, and train services are provided by Southern. The station has had several name changes: it was opened as Collington Wood Halt on 11 September 1905; closed a year later, it reopened as West Bexhill Halt, and then became Collington Halt in 1929; the Halt was dropped in 1969. The station has two platforms linked by a footbridge.

Sidley railway station

Sidley railway station is a closed railway station In Sidley, East Sussex. It was on the Bexhill West branch of the Hastings Line from Tunbridge Wells. It was opened by the South Eastern & Chatham Railway and was operated by the Southern Region of British Railways on closing. All the station buildings and platforms were demolished soon after closure. The goods shed was the last railway building on the site which was demolished in 2009 having been derelict for many years.

Bexhill West railway station

Bexhill West is a closed station in Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. It was the terminus of the Bexhill West branch of the Hastings Line. It was opened by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway and was operated by the Southern Region of British Railways on closing. The station building still survives as an auction room for a firm of auctioneers. The trackbed and site of the now demolished platforms are now occupied by commercial industrial buildings.

Normans Bay

Normans Bay is a coastal hamlet in the Pevensey Levels area of East Sussex, England. In 2005 divers trying to free a lobster pot discovered a large anchor and cannons offshore. It is thought to be the remains of the English warship HMS Resolution, which sunk there in 1703. Contrary to popular belief it does not take its name from the Norman conquest of England of 1066. The area occupied by Normans Bay was under water at the time.
