Frithelstock Priory
Frithelstock Priory was founded in about 1220 at Frithelstock, Devon, England, by Sir Robert de Beauchamp for Augustinian Canons Regular, as an indulgence to ensure intercessions for the repose of his soul. Walter de Stapledon, Bishop of Exeter, is considered a co-founder, for increasing the priory's endowments. The priory was dissolved in 1536 during the Dissolution of the Monasteries and only ruins remain.

Watergate Halt was an intermediate halt on the initially privately run North Devon and Cornwall Junction Light Railway. "It was one of those moments you always remember – a first glimpse, caught through the dappled sunlight of a woodland glade. Deep within the heart of North Devon, I came across this tiny wayside halt, no longer than a single carriage length.
Torrington railway station
Torrington railway station was a railway station located in Great Torrington, Devon. Built as the terminus for the North Devon and Cornwall Junction Light Railway line to Halwill in North Devon in 1871, it was closed by British Railways in 1965 as part of the Beeching Axe.
A388 road
The A388 is an A road in south west England which runs south from Landcross south of Bideford in Devon through Holsworthy, Launceston, Callington to Saltash in Cornwall. The A388 begins at a junction with the A386 and in Holsworthy has junctions with the A3072. In Launceston it has junctions with the A30 and near Lawhitton a junction with the A384. In Callington it has junctions with the A390 and ends at Saltash when it meets the A38.
Annery kiln
The former Annery lime kiln is situated just off the road from Bideford to Great Torrington, near Weare Giffard in the Torridge District of North Devon, England. The old lime kiln overlooks the River Torridge and lies close to the old 1827 canal and also to the railway that ran from Bideford to Torrington, opened in 1872 and closed in 1966. The old trackbed now forms a stretch of the Tarka Trail. Annery is a small settlement nearby.
Weare Giffard
Weare Giffard is a small village, parish and former manor in North Devon. The church and manor house are situated 2 1/2 miles NW of Great Torrington in North Devon. Most of the houses within the parish are situated some 1/2 mile east of the church. The church is situated on a hillside to the north and slightly above the wide and flat valley floor of the River Torridge.
