Pembrey Airport

Pembrey West Wales International Airport is located 6 NM west northwest of Llanelli (9 NM south of Carmarthen) in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, in Wales. It is the home of numerous flying schools. The airfield is situated within a designated danger area, the nearby Royal Air Force range. It is active during the daytime on weekdays. Pembrey Airport has a LOA Letter of Agreement with the Royal Air Force to operate commercial flights during their operational hours.

Kidwelly railway station

Kidwelly railway station serves the town of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The station is situated on the coast just southwest of Kidwelly itself. Originally the station was the junction of the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway. Nothing remains today to show the industrial heritage of the railway here. The station is unmanned and is a request stop, which means that passengers on the train must advise the train manager if they wish to alight at Kidwelly.

River Gwendraeth

The River Gwendraeth is a river in Carmarthenshire in west Wales. It has two almost equal branches that have their confluence in their joint estuary at Carmarthen Bay. The Gwendraeth Fawr (Large Gwendraeth in Welsh) is surprisingly the smaller and has its source in a series of springs to the north of Cross Hands, the most northerly of which rises to the north of Gorslas in the Llyn Llech Owain Country Park, just above the 585-foot contour.

Kidwelly Industrial Museum

The Kidwelly Industrial Museum focuses on the Tinplate industry in Kidwelly. In addition there are exhibits featuring coal mining and brick making. The museum is located near the town of Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, West Wales, on the site of the former Kidwelly tinplate works. The tinplate works was originally established in 1737 and was closed in 1941.

River Gwili

For the river which flows into the River Loughor see Afon Gwili (Loughor) The River Gwili in Carmarthenshire, is a tributary of the River Towy, the longest river entirely in Wales. Its headwater is found east of Llanllawddog, in the Brechfa Forest. It runs west, through Llanpumsaint, to its confluence with the River Duad, just south of Cynwyl Elfed village. Here its course turns to the southeast, running through Bronwydd before joining the River Towy at Abergwili.
