River Cam
The River Cam is a tributary of the River Great Ouse in the east of England. The two rivers join to the south of Ely at Pope's Corner. The Great Ouse connects the Cam to England's canal system and to the North Sea at King's Lynn. The total distance from Cambridge to the sea is about 40 mi . In earlier times the Cam was named the Granta, but after the name of the Anglo-Saxon town of Grantebrycge had been modified to Cambridge, the river was renamed to match.

Ely railway station serves the city of Ely in Cambridgeshire, England. The station lies on the Fen Line from Cambridge to King's Lynn, which is electrified at 25 kV AC overhead. It is a busy station served by trains running to a variety of destinations including Cambridge, Stansted Airport, London (King's Cross and Liverpool Street), Ipswich, Norwich, King's Lynn, Peterborough, Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool.
Ely to Peterborough Line
The Ely to Peterborough Line is a railway line in England, linking East Anglia to the Midlands. It is a part of the Network Rail Strategic Route 5, SRS 05.07 and is classified as a secondary line. Fenland District council are in talks with train operators to oppose more services for the line with 2 services in between Birmingham and Stansted Airport and an hourly service between Ipswich and Peterborough with more services stopping at Whittlesea and Manea which would stop at March also.
River Cam, Gloucestershire
The River Cam is a small river in Gloucestershire, England. The river rises on the Cotswold escarpment above the village of Uley, and flows through Dursley, Cam and Cambridge to the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal as a feeder to that waterway. Upstream from the town of Dursley the river is known as the River Ewelme. Before the canal was opened in 1827, the Cam flowed into the River Severn at Frampton Pill, Frampton on Severn.

Hawk Bridge, Ely, is a railway bridge carrying the Ipswich to Ely line across the River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire, England. The bridge is located half-a-mile east of Ely Dock Junction. Hawk Bridge was rebuilt in 2007 following the derailment of a freight train.

Granta (river)
The River Granta is the name of two of the four tributaries of the River Cam, although both names are often used synonymously. The Granta, starts near the village of Widdington in Essex flowing the 15 mi north past Audley End House to merge with the other contributary Rhee, which is also commonly called River Cam, a mile south of Grantchester. A further tributary, also known as the Granta, runs 10 mi from south of Haverhill to join the larger Granta south of Great Shelford.
