The Gop
The Gop is a neolithic mound lying north of Trelawnyd in Flintshire, Wales. Oval in form, it is the second-largest such mound in Britain after Silbury Hill. Excavations have uncovered no burial chambers or other underground works. This may indicate that it was used as a look-out or hill fort; there is evidence that there was a considerable amount of stone on the top of hill. In the 17th century, its prominent position allowed a beacon to be placed there.
Meliden
Meliden is a village between Prestatyn and Dyserth in Denbighshire, Wales. It grew up around the locality of lead mines and limestone quarries. The placename "Meliden" has variously been claimed to be derived from that of Bishop Melitus or St. Melyd (the village has the church of St. Melyd as its main place of worship); its Welsh placename, "Gallt Melyd", means "wooded hill of Melyd".

Dyserth is a village in Denbighshire, Wales. Population : 2,566. Its main features are the extensive quarrying remains, its waterfalls, railway line (former LNWR, closed in 1930, and now footpath), and mountain.
RAF Prestatyn
RAF Station Prestatyn was an RAF radar post situated near Prestatyn, in Denbighshire, north-east Wales. The remains of some of the buildings are current. The rotor station is visible as a square building from most of Prestatyn, as it is situated on Gwaenysgor hill. The area around the post is fenced off as a TV satellite is alongside the buildings. The radar site was last used in the late 1960s and the area has remained unchanged since it was abandoned.
Ffrith Beach
Ffrith Beach, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, North Wales is one of three sandy beaches along the Prestatyn coastline - Barkby Beach, Central Beach and Ffrith Beach. A promenade joins the three beaches, and, at around 4-miles in length, is popular for leisurely strolls and cycling. It has recently been incorporated into the new National Cycle Network.
St Michael's Church, Trelawnyd
St Michael's Church, Trelawnyd, is in the village of Trelawnyd, Flintshire, Wales. It is an active Anglican parish church in the benefice of Dyserth and Trelawnyd and Cwm, the deanery of St Asaph, the archdeaconry of St Asaph, and the diocese of St Asaph.
Bastion Road
Bastion Road, also known as Bastion Gardens, is a football stadium in Prestatyn, Wales. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of Prestatyn Town F.C.. The stadium holds up to 2,300 people, although the record attendance was 1,280.
Prestatyn Castle
An earth mound, visible in fields to the south of the Prestatyn railway station, near Nant Hall, marks the site of an early wooden motte and bailey castle. Prestatyn Castle occupies a low-lying position, but still commands a view across much of the flat coastal plain and guarded the coast road between Rhuddlan and Chester. It consists of the remains of a motte c.20m in diameter with surrounding ditch, and a bailey which, unusually, encloses the whole of the motte.
