Tixall is a small village and former civil parish in the English county of Staffordshire lying on the western side of the Trent valley between Rugeley and Stone, Staffordshire and roughly 4 miles east of Stafford. Deriving from the Old English 'Ticheshale' the name is said to mean 'hollow of the goats'.
Ingestre Hall
Ingestre Hall is a 17th century Jacobean mansion situated at Ingestre, near Stafford, Staffordshire, England, which is now in use as a Residential Arts and Conference Centre. It is a Grade II* listed building. Ingestre is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The manor was owned by the Mutton family in ancient times but was acquired by the Chetwynd family (whose later descendants became Barons Talbot) as a result of the marriage in the 13th century of the Ingestre heiress to Sir John Chetwynd.
Tixall Gatehouse
Tixall Gatehouse is a 16th-century gatehouse situated at Tixall, near Stafford, Staffordshire and is all that remains of Tixall Hall. It is a Grade I listed building. The hall was demolished in 1927. This home of the Aston family was used a prison for Mary, Queen of Scots.
Ingestre railway station
Ingestre and Weston railway station was a former British railway station to serve the village of Ingestre in Staffordshire. It was opened by the Stafford and Uttoxeter Railway in 1867. Originally called Ingestre it was actually much closer to Weston and was renamed (also Ingestre for Weston) in 1870 to avoid confusion with Weston and Ingestre on the North Staffordshire Railway.

It was formerly served by both Weston and Ingestre railway station and Ingestre railway station. The village, and former civil parish, of Tixall is nearby. The civil parishes of Tixall and Ingestre were merged into a single parish of Ingestre with Tixall in 1979.

Tixall Wide, also known as Tixall Broad or The Broad Water, is a body of water that forms part of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal near Tixall in Staffordshire, England, to the south of the former Tixall Hall. The hall was, at that time, owned by Thomas Clifford, the fourth son of Hugh Clifford, 3rd Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, and the grounds had been designed on the advice of the Landscape architect Lancelot "Capability" Brown.
