Santo Stefano, Venice
The Chiesa di Santo Stefano is a large church at the northern end of the Campo Santo Stefano in Venice. It was founded in the 13th century, rebuilt in the 14th century and altered again early in the 15th century, when the fine gothic doorway and ship's keel roof were added. The tall interior is also Gothic and has three apses. Santo Stefano is parish church of one of the parishes in the Vicariate of San Marco-Castello.
San Pantalon
The Chiesa di San Pantaleone Martire, known as San Pantalon in the Venetian dialect, is a church in Venice, northern Italy. It is situated on the Campo San Pantalon in Venice and is dedicated to Saint Pantaleon. San Pantalon is particularly well known for its immense ceiling painting, depicting The Martyrdom and Apotheosis of St Pantalon. It was painted on canvas by Gian Antonio Fumiani between 1680 and 1704, when he fell to his death from the scaffolding.
Dorsoduro
Dorsoduro is one of the six sestieri of Venice, northern Italy. Dorsoduro includes the highest land areas of the city and also Giudecca island and Isola Sacca Fisola. Its name derives from the Italian for "hard ridge", due to its comparatively high, stable land.
Ca' Foscari
Ca' Foscari, the palace of the Foscari family, is a Gothic building on the waterfront of the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Built by the doge Francesco Foscari in 1453, is now the main seat of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. The architect of the palace was Bartolomeo Bon.

Accademia
The Gallerie dell'Accademia is a museum gallery of pre-19th century art in Venice, northern Italy. Situated on the south bank of the Grand Canal, within the sestiere of Dorsoduro, it gives its name to one of the three bridges across the canal, the Ponte dell'Accademia, and to the boat landing station for the vaporetto water bus. It was originally created as an art school.
Ponte dell'Accademia
The Ponte dell'Accademia is one of only four bridges in Venice, Italy, to span the Grand Canal. It crosses near the southern end of the canal, and is named for the Accademia galleries. The bridge links the sestiere of Dorsoduro and San Marco. First suggested as early as 1488, a bridge was not constructed until 1854.
Palazzo Grassi
Palazzo Grassi (also known as the Palazzo Grassi-Stucky) is an edifice in the Venetian Classical style located on the Grand Canal of Venice, northern Italy. It was designed by Giorgio Massari, and the building was completed between 1748 and 1772. The latecomer among the palaces on the Grand Canal of Venice, Palazzo Grassi has an academic classical style that is in contrast to the surrounding Byzantine Romanesque and Baroque Venetian palazzi.

The Palazzi Barbaro — also known as Palazzo Barbaro, Ca' Barbaro, and Palazzo Barbaro-Curtis — are a pair of adjoining palaces, in the San Marco district of Venice, northern Italy. They were formerly one of the homes of the patrician Barbaro family. The Palazzi are located on the Grand Canal of Venice, next to the Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti and not far from the Ponte dell'Accademia. The buildings are also known as the Palazzo Barbaro-Curtis.
Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti
Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti is a palace in Venice, Italy, not far from the Ponte dell'Accademia and next to the Palazzo Barbaro on the Grand Canal of Venice. Since 1999 it has been the seat of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere e Arti and frequently houses cultural events. The palace was erected in 1565. In the 19th century it was internally modernised and externally enriched in Venetian Gothic style, with rich window framing, by a series of grand owners.
San Samuele, Venice
San Samuele is a church in Venice, northern Italy. It is located in the eponymous campo near Palazzo Grassi and Palazzo Malipiero. The facade is set back on the campo, but faces and is visible from the Grand Canal. It is named after the Biblical Samuel, because in the interior are housed relics traditionally attributed to him. The church was built around 1000 by the families Boldù and Soranzo. In the early 12th centuries it was destroyed by two fires and then reconstructed.
Carmini
Santa Maria dei Carmini, also called Santa Maria del Carmelo and commonly known simply as the Carmini, is a small church in the sestiere or neighbourhood of Dorsoduro in Venice, northern Italy. It nestles against the former Scuola Grande di Santa Maria del Carmelo, also known as the Scuola dei Carmini. This charitable confraternity was officially founded in 1597, and arose from a lay women's charitable association, the Pinzocchere dei Carmini.
San Trovaso
San Trovaso (dedicated to sts. Gervasius and Protasius) is a church in the sestiere or neighborhood of Dorsoduro in Venice, northern Italy. The church dates to at least the 1028. The present church was rebuilt by 1584. The architect was likely Francesco Smeraldi. The church was consecrated in 1637. In the chancel are two canvases, Adoration of the Magi and Expulsion of Joachim from the Temple (before 1587) by Domenico Tintoretto, brought here from the church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
Palazzo Giustinian
The Palazzo Giustinian is a palace in Venice, northern Italy, situated in the Dorsoduro district and overlooking the Grand Canal next to Ca' Foscari. It is among the best examples of the late Venetian Gothic and was the final residence of Princess Louise Marie Thérèse of France. The edifice was built in the late 15th century, perhaps with the participation of Bartolomeo Bon.
Palazzo Loredan dell'Ambasciatore
Palazzo Loredan dell'Ambasciatore is a late 15th-century Gothic palace in Venice, Italy, that once belonged to the noble Loredan family. Located in the Dorsoduro sestiere (quarter), it was called "dell'ambasciatore" because it was the home of the ambassadors of the Austrian Empire to the Republic. One Loredan ancestor, Antonio, was the administrator of Corfu who defeated the Turks in 1716, together with Count Johann Matthias von der Schulenburg, a Saxon general.
Palazzo Balbi
Palazzo Balbi is a palace on the Canal Grande, Venice, northern Italy. It is included in the sestiere (quarter) of Dorsoduro, to the right of Ca' Foscari. Currently it is the seat of the President of the Veneto region and of the regional council. It was built from 1582, under design by Alessandro Vittoria as the residence of the Venetian patrician family of the Balbi. In the 19th century it was acquired by Michelangelo Guggenheim and later by the Adriatic Electric Society.

The Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo (aka Palazzo Mocenigo di San Stae) is a palazzo near the Church of San Stae, south of the Grand Canal in the sestiere of Santa Croce in Venice, Italy. It is now a museum of fabrics and costumes, run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
Palazzi Mocenigo
The Palazzi Mocenigo consist of the following complex of palazzos on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy: Palazzo Mocenigo Casa Nuova Palazzo Mocenigo Casa Vecchia Palazzo Mocenigo detto "il Nero" The palazzos are named after the Mocenigo family, seven of whom were Doges of Venice. The English poet Lord Byron (1788–1824) stay here when he lived in Venice from 1818.
Scuola Grande dei Carmini
The Scuola Grande dei Carmini is an palace in Venice, Italy. It is located in the sestiere of Dorsoduro, before Campo dei Carmini and Campo Santa Margherita, upon which its facade looks upon. It was the former home of the a Venetian Scuola of the same name. The Scuola was founded in 1594 under Doge Pasquale Cicogna, and was the last of its kind to be recognized as a Scuola Grande in 1767 by the Council of Ten.
San Vidal, Venice
San Vidal (San Vitale) is a former church, and now and event and concert hall in Venice, Italy, located near the Accademia Bridge. A church at the site was erected in the year 1084 by Doge Vitale Falier. In was reconstructed in the 17th century using designs Antonio Gaspari. It was rebuilt in 1696 to honor the former Doge Francesco Morosini. On the facade (1734-37), designed by Tirali, are statues of Doge Contarini and his wife.
San Tomà, Venice
San Tomà (San Toma) is a former church located in the sestiere of San Polo in Venice, Italy. It stands near the Scoletta dei Calegheri. The church is named after San Tommaso Apostolo. A church on the site dates back to the tenth century, the present orientation was set in 1395, and the exterior and much of the interior decorations are due to reconstructions in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Palazzo Ficquelmont-Clary
The Palazzo Ficquelmont-Clary is a Late Renaissance Venitian palace facing the Giudecca Canal alongside the fondamenta Zattere by the ponte longo in Venice's Dorsoduro. It was originally built in the 17th century, before it became the Venitian home of the counts de Ficquelmont in the 19th century. It is named Palazzo Ficquelmont-Clary after its owners as the palace was bequeathed to count Charles-Louis de Ficquelmont's daughter and heiress, princess Elisex von Clary-Aldringen.
