Germantown, Philadelphia
Germantown is a neighborhood in the northwest section of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, about 7–8 miles northwest from the center of the city. The neighborhood is rich in historic sites and buildings from the colonial era, a few of which are open to the public. Germantown stretches for about two miles along Germantown Avenue northwest from Windrim and Roberts Avenues.

Germantown Friends School (GFS) is a coeducational K-12 school in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States under the supervision of Germantown Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Germantown High School (Philadelphia)
Germantown High School is a secondary school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. GHS, located in Germantown, is a part of the School District of Philadelphia. The school was built in 1914 which makes it one of the oldest in the country. Its students are mostly African-American, despite the previous German population of the region. Students come from the Logan, Germantown, Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, and Nicetown-Tioga (North Philadelphia) sections of the city. The team name is the Bears.
Walnut Lane Memorial Bridge
The Walnut Lane Memorial Bridge is a prestressed concrete girder bridge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, designed by Belgian Engineer Gustave Magnel and built by the City of Philadelphia. Completed and fully opened to traffic in 1951, this three-span bridge carries Walnut Lane over Lincoln Drive and Monoshone Creek A.K. A the Wissahickon Creek. It was the first major prestressed concrete beam bridge designed and built in the United States when completed.
Vernon-Wister House
The Vernon-Wister House is a historic house in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1803 by James Matthews, from whom John Wister purchased it in 1812. His son, John Wister, was a member of Congress and lived in Vernon until his death in 1883. The Vernon-Wister House is a contributing property of the Colonial Germantown Historic District, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (PSCA) is a contemporary circus school in Philadelphia, and is the only one in the region. It began in June 2008. The curriculum includes aerial skills, such as static trapeze, corde lisse or rope, lyra) and juggling, unicycling, tightwire, tumbling, Chinese acrobatics, physical conditioning and other circus arts. Class sessions run four times per year, for eight weeks per session.
Weavers Way Co-op
Weavers Way Co-op is a member-owned consumer's cooperative in Philadelphia's West Mt. Airy section. Founded in 1973, Weavers Way Co-op was formed as a neighborhood buying club in a church basement. Since its incorporation, it has grown to 5,000 member households, with annual sales of more than $14 million. After moving to its location at 559 Carpenter Lane, Weavers Way expanded, purchasing the adjacent building and consolidating the two buildings.
