Free Library of Philadelphia

The Free Library of Philadelphia is the public library system serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The library is the tenth largest public library system in the United States. The governance of the library is unique among public libraries in the United States, as it is neither a city agency or nonprofit organization. The library is governed by both an independent city agency managed by its own board of directors and a separate nonprofit organization, The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation.

Fern Rock, Philadelphia

Fern Rock is a neighborhood in the upper North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania bounded by Olney to the east, Ogontz to the west, Logan to south, and East Oak Lane to the north. It is approximately situated between Broad Street, Tabor Road, 7th Street, Godfrey Avenue and Fisher Park. The northern terminus of the Broad Street Line subway is located in Fern Rock at the Fern Rock Transportation Center. Three SEPTA Regional Rail lines also run through this station.

Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls

Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls is a Catholic high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is named after Saint Therese de Lisieux. It has one of the most award-winning high school newspapers in the archdiocese, The Theresian. It is also one of the proudest and most spirited high schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It consists of roughly 700 girls and 5 boys. The boys are a part of Little Flower's ESOL Program (English for Speakers of Other Languages).

Newtown Junction

Newtown Junction is the rail junction point where the Newtown Branch joins the SEPTA Main Line. The Warminster Line, West Trenton Line, and Lansdale/Doylestown Line all continue north toward Fern Rock along the old Reading trunk while the Fox Chase heads east toward Olney. North of Fox Chase, the line crossed over the West Trenton Line between the Meadowbrook and Bethayres stations and had its terminus in Newtown, hence the name Newtown Junction.

Since Erie is an express station, it has four tracks and two central platforms, with express and Ridge Spur trains operating on the inner tracks and local trains operating on the outer tracks. SEPTA's 25 Hz traction power system

SEPTA operates a 25 Hz traction power system in the vicinity of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that it inherited from the Reading Railroad. This system is separate but similar to the system designed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, which is now operated by Amtrak. SEPTA's trains can run over either system because the voltage and frequency presented to the locomotive are essentially identical. However, the ex-Reading system is not electrically connected to the ex-PRR system.
