Telford Steam Railway
The Telford Steam Railway (TSR) is a heritage railway located at Horsehay, Telford in Shropshire, England, formed in 1976. The railway is operated by volunteers on Sundays and Bank Holidays from Easter to the end of September, and at Christmas. Its official business name is the Telford Horsehay Steam Trust (THST), and it is a registered charity.
New Bucks Head
New Bucks Head is a stadium in Telford, England and the home of Conference National football club A.F.C. Telford United. It was originally built for Telford United to play at before they went bankrupt. The stadium is on the same site as the original Bucks Head, which had been home to Telford United and Wellington Town for over a century. The stadium was completed in 2003, and has a capacity of 6,300. It is covered on three out of four sides.
Hadley, Shropshire
Hadley is a part of the new town of Telford in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It lies approximately 3 miles north-west of Telford Town Centre, and forms part of the civil parish of Hadley and Leegomery (previously known as simply "Hadley"). It neighbours Wellington, a market town also part of Telford, and that town's two colleges of Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) and New College (NC), all to the west of Hadley.
Wellington Rural District (Shropshire)
Wellington was a rural district in Shropshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Wellington rural sanitary district. In 1934, under a County Review Order, it took in the disbanded Newport Rural District. It was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, and went on to form part of the Wrekin district.
New Hadley Halt railway station
New Hadley Halt was a minor station between Oakengates and Wellington on the former Great Western Railway's London (Paddington) to Birkenhead via Birmingham (Snow Hill) line. On 13 May 1986, British Rail announced that it would close, due to uneconomic required repairs and it was demolished in 1986. Its grid reference was SJ 681 115. The closure of the station coincided with the opening of a new station called Telford Central which had opened the previous day.

Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) is a further education college in Telford, Shropshire, England. It operates from one main site and many in-company training sites and community-based courses spread out across Shropshire and the whole of the United Kingdom. It is sometimes known as "Telford College" but should not be confused with Telford College in Edinburgh.
Springwell Pit Disaster
The Springwell Pit Disaster occurred on 6 December 1872 at Springwell coal mining pit near Dawley, Shropshire (now part of Telford). Miners at the pit would grab hold of a chain running the depth of the mine shaft and be hoisted 150 ft to the surface. On this day, eight miners clung to the chain. When 50 ft from the base of the lower part of the chain snapped, causing the miners to fall to the base of the shaft, before the chain, estimated to weigh 1 tonne, landed on top of them.
Wellington Amateurs F.C
Wellington Amateurs F.C. is an English football club located in Telford, in Shropshire. The club plays in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division. After many years in the Wellington League, the team was promoted to the Shropshire County Football League. They were promoted to the West Midlands (Regional) League in 2006. Wellington won Division One three times in four seasons and gained promotion to the Premier Division for 2012–13.
