The Telford Steam Railway (TSR) is a heritage railway located at Horsehay, Telford in Shropshire, England, formed in 1976. The railway is operated by volunteers on Sundays and Bank Holidays from Easter to the end of September, and at Christmas. Its official business name is the Telford Horsehay Steam Trust (THST), and it is a registered charity.

Springwell Pit Disaster
The Springwell Pit Disaster occurred on 6 December 1872 at Springwell coal mining pit near Dawley, Shropshire (now part of Telford). Miners at the pit would grab hold of a chain running the depth of the mine shaft and be hoisted 150 ft to the surface. On this day, eight miners clung to the chain. When 50 ft from the base of the lower part of the chain snapped, causing the miners to fall to the base of the shaft, before the chain, estimated to weigh 1 tonne, landed on top of them.
St James' Church, Stirchley
St James' Church, Stirchley, is a redundant Anglican church in Stirchley, Shropshire, England. Stirchley was formerly a separate village but is now part of the new town of Telford. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church and its churchyard are designated as Scheduled ancient monuments.
