Buerton is a village at SJ685435 and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, about 7 miles south of the town of Nantwich and 1½ miles east of the village of Audlem, on the border with Shropshire. South Cheshire Way

The South Cheshire Way is a 32-mile long-distance footpath running east–west mainly through Cheshire, England, though parts lie in Shropshire and Staffordshire. The western section from Grindley Brook, near Whitchurch, runs through farmland; the eastern section from Mow Cop, near Biddulph, runs through low hills. The footpath is waymarked with black and yellow discs inscribed 'SCW'.

Audlem railway station was a station on the former Great Western Railway between Market Drayton and Nantwich, opened in 1863. It served the village of Audlem in Cheshire, England until closure in 1963. The station was immortalised in the song "Slow Train" by Flanders and Swann.

St James' Church, Audlem is located in the village of Audlem in south Cheshire, England. It is designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, The church dates from the late 13th century with additions in the 19th century. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield and the deanery of Nantwich. Its benefice is combined with those of St John, Doddington, and St Chad, Wybunbury.

Hatherton is a hamlet and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The hamlet is located 2¾ miles to the north east of Audlem and 3¾ miles to the south east of Nantwich. The parish also includes the small settlements of Birchall Moss, Broomlands and part of Artlebrook. Nearby villages include Hankelow, Stapeley, Walgherton and Wybunbury. According to the 2001 Census, Hatherton civil parish had a population of 344.

The parish also includes the settlements of Broad Lane and Butt Green, and parts of Artle Brook, Haymoor Green and Howbeck Bank, as well as a recent residential development north of the A5301 adjacent to Nantwich. In 2008, the total population was estimated to be a little under 3000.
