19th arrondissement of Paris
The 19th arrondissement of Paris is one of the 20 arrondissements (administrative districts) of the capital city of France. Situated on the Right Bank of the River Seine, it is crossed by two canals, the Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal de l'Ourcq, which meet near the Parc de la Villette.

Corentin Cariou (Paris Métro)
Corentin Cariou is a station of the Paris Métro. The station was called Pont de Flandre until 1946, after a bridge which spans the Canal de Saint-Denis carrying the Rue de Flandre, the main street of the commune of La Villette, to the Porte de La Villette. It is named after Corentin Cariou (1898–1942), who was a member of the municipal council of the XIXe arrondissement and shot by the Nazis as a hostage during World War II.
Crimée (Paris Métro)
Crimée is a station of the Paris Métro. This station bears the name of the Crimean War (1855–56), on the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine on the Black Sea, where a coalition of Turkey, the United Kingdom, France and Piedmont faced Russia. It was notable for the Siege of Sevastopol (1854–1855) and the Charge of the Light Brigade. The conflict ended in the Treaty of Paris (1856). Nearby are la Villette Basin and the Canal de l'Ourcq.
Porte de la Villette (Paris Métro)
Porte de la Villette is a station of the Paris Métro. The origin of the commune of the Villette was a Gallo-Roman village, which grew up on the Roman road that led to east Flanders. About 1198, it became Ville Neuve Saint-Ladre and by 1426 it was called Villette-Saint-Miser-lez-Paris. The commune became a part of Paris in 1860. The nearby gate in Paris' 19th century walls became known as the Porte de la Villette.
Riquet (Paris Métro)
Riquet is a station of the Paris Métro. It was named after French engineer Pierre-Paul Riquet, who conceived and carried out the construction of the Canal du Midi from 1666. This work was completed by his sons in 1681. Nearby are la Villette Basin and the Canal de l'Ourcq.
Louis Blanc (Paris Métro)
Louis Blanc is a station on line 7 and 7bis of the Paris Métro. The station was opened on 23 November 1910, 18 days after the opening of the first section of the line between Opéra and Porte de la Villette on 5 November 1910. On 18 January 1911 a new branch was opened from Louis Blanc to Pré Saint-Gervais. On 3 December 1967 the branch to Pré Saint-Gervais was separated as 7bis, terminating at this station.

Buttes Chaumont (Paris Métro)
Buttes Chaumont is a station on 7bis of the Paris Métro in the 19th arrondissement, on the Avenue Simon Bolivar, near the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, which it is named after. While the line that it is on opened as a branch of line 7 from Louis Blanc to Pré Saint-Gervais on 18 January 1911, the opening of the station was delayed by 13 months to 13 February 1912 due to the difficulty of its construction in a backfilled quarry.
Parc des Buttes Chaumont
The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is a public park situated in northeast of Paris, in the 19th arrondissement. Occupying 24.7 hectares, it is the third-largest park in Paris, after the Bois de Vincennes and the Bois de Boulogne. It was opened in 1867, late in the regime of Emperor Napoleon III, and was built by Jean-Charles Alphand, who created all the major parks of Napoleon III.. The park has over 5 kilometres of trails and paths.

The Place du Colonel Fabien is a square in Paris, France Before the liberation of Paris, the square was called the Place du Combat and was renamed in honour of the French communist resistance hero, Pierre Georges, whose nom-de-guerre was Colonel Fabien. The headquarters of the French Communist Party, designed by the Brazilian communist and utilitarian architect Oscar Niemeyer is located here, as is a station of the Paris Métro.

Orgues de Flandre
The Orgues de Flandre, which can be translated as Organs of Flanders, are a group of residential buildings located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, France. Built from 1974 to 1980 by the architect Martin van Trek, the buildings are located at 67-107 avenue de Flandre and 14-24 rue Archereau. The buildings are a housing project of 6 ha, made of many buildings of 15 floors and four dominating towers: Tour Prélude (or Tour 1): 123 meters, 38 floors.
Stade Bergeyre
Stade Bergeyre is a former sports stadium in Paris, France, located in 19th district of the French capital. Built in August 1918, with financial support of Jacques Sigrand. Its capacity was approximately 15,000, and the name comes from the name of a French rugby player, who died in First World War. Bergeyre stadium was mainly used for soccer games, and was home of the Olympique Paris team. Also, rugby, track and field and various other activities (e.g. circus) took place there.

École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette
The École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette is a public tertiary school located in Paris, France. It is placed under the supervision of the ministry for the Culture and the Communication (Direction of Architecture and the Inheritance). It is one of the twenty public schools which exempt a higher education of architecture in France. The Georgia Institute of Technology College of Architecture maintains a small permanent presence at the school.
Quartier de La Chapelle
The Quartier de La Chapelle is a neighborhood of Paris, in the northern part of the 18th arrondissement. It was originally the village of La Chapelle on the outskirts of Paris and a commune in its own right, separated from the commune of Paris by the wall of the Farmers-General. However, as part of the city's major 19th-century expansion, the former village was absorbed by Paris in 1860.
Canal Saint-Denis
The Canal Saint-Denis is a canal in Paris that is 6.6 kilometres in length. The canal connects the Canal de l'Ourcq, at a point north-northwest of the Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, with the suburban municipalities of Saint-Denis and Aubervilliers in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis. There are seven locks along the canal's route, and, near Saint-Denis, the canal discharges into the Seine.
Bassin de la Villette
The Bassin de la Villette (La Villette Basin) is the largest artificial lake in Paris. It was filled with water on 2 December 1808. Located in the 19th arrondissement of the capital, it links the Canal de l'Ourcq to the Canal Saint-Martin, and it represents one of the elements of the Réseau des Canaux Parisiens (Parisian Canal Network), a public-works authority operated by the city.
Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad
The Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad is a square in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. It was named after the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the major battles of World War II. The square lies at the intersection of the Canal de l'Ourcq and the Canal Saint-Martin.
