Prague Zoo

Prague Zoo is a zoo in Prague, Czech Republic. It was opened in 1931 with the goal to "advance the study of zoology, protect wildlife, and educate the public" in the district of Troja in the north of Prague. The zoo occupies 45 hectares (111 acres) and houses about 4,400 animals that represent 670 species from all around the world. Prague Zoological Garden has contributed significantly to saving the Przewalski horse. For many years it was the biggest breeder of the species in the world.

Stadion Juliska

Stadion Juliska is a multi-use stadium in Prague-Dejvice, Czech Republic. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Dukla Prague. The stadium is also used for athletics events, including the annual Josef Odložil Memorial. The stadium seats 8,150 people on individual seats. In 2012 a statue of former Dukla player and European Footballer of the Year 1962 Josef Masopust was unveiled outside the stadium.

Dejvická

Dejvická is a Prague Metro station and terminus of Line A. It lies at the western end of the main boulevard Evropská Třída, and is served by buses which run to Ruzyně International Airport. The station was opened on 12 August 1978 as a part of the line. It was formerly known as Leninova after Vladimir Lenin, and renamed Dejvická in 1990 following the Velvet Revolution. It serves and is named after the Dejvice district of Prague 6.

Hradčanská is a Prague Metro station on Line A, between Dejvická and Malostranská stations. It is named after Hradčany, the district where Prague Castle is located (hrad means "castle" in Czech). However, the Castle itself is quite far from the station. This station has only one exit toward Milady Horákové street, where plenty of tram transfers are available. A second exit was planned, but was not built.

Domeček

Domeček (or Hradčanský domeček) is an informal name for a former small prison in Hradčany, district of Prague. The name in Czech means small house and refers to the size of the building. Domeček, placed next to the building of a military court, had served as a military prison during the Austro-Hungarian period. It was used by the Gestapo during World War II and since 1948 the Czechoslovakian security service (StB) employed it as a secret prison. It hosted 30 solitary cells.

Loreta

Loreta is a large pilgrimage destination in Hradčany, a district of Prague, Czech Republic. It consists of a cloister, the church of the Lord’s Birth, a Holy Hut and the clock tower with a famous chime. The construction had started in 1626 and the Holy Hut was blessed on March 25, 1631. The architect was the Italian Giovanni Orsi; the project was financed by a noblewoman of the Lobkowitz family.

Střešovice

Střešovice is a neighborhood of green, quiet, village-like streets in the west of Prague. It is located in the Prague 6 district. Střešovice is often called the "local Beverly Hills" because it is home to some famous residents, including former President Václav Havel.
