Prague Zoo

Prague Zoo is a zoo in Prague, Czech Republic. It was opened in 1931 with the goal to "advance the study of zoology, protect wildlife, and educate the public" in the district of Troja in the north of Prague. The zoo occupies 45 hectares (111 acres) and houses about 4,400 animals that represent 670 species from all around the world. Prague Zoological Garden has contributed significantly to saving the Przewalski horse. For many years it was the biggest breeder of the species in the world.

Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague

Institute of Chemical Technology Prague (ICT, Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická - VŠCHT in Czech) is the largest university specializing in chemistry in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1952 and since that time it has been one of the leading research spots in Central Europe. More than 2,000 students are accepted every year. Letná

Letná is a hill overlooking Prague historic centre and Vltava River just besides Prague Castle. It neighbors the Stromovka (the largest park in Prague) and Letná parks. The hill belongs to Holešovice and Bubeneč quarters of Prague 7. The main part of Letná is Letná Plain (Letenská pláň), a large empty plain and Letná Park (Letenské sady) popular for summer strolls and informal sports (inline skating and jogging being the most popular here).

Stadion Juliska

Stadion Juliska is a multi-use stadium in Prague-Dejvice, Czech Republic. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Dukla Prague. The stadium is also used for athletics events, including the annual Josef Odložil Memorial. The stadium seats 8,150 people on individual seats. In 2012 a statue of former Dukla player and European Footballer of the Year 1962 Josef Masopust was unveiled outside the stadium.

Dejvická

Dejvická is a Prague Metro station and terminus of Line A. It lies at the western end of the main boulevard Evropská Třída, and is served by buses which run to Ruzyně International Airport. The station was opened on 12 August 1978 as a part of the line. It was formerly known as Leninova after Vladimir Lenin, and renamed Dejvická in 1990 following the Velvet Revolution. It serves and is named after the Dejvice district of Prague 6.

Hradčanská is a Prague Metro station on Line A, between Dejvická and Malostranská stations. It is named after Hradčany, the district where Prague Castle is located (hrad means "castle" in Czech). However, the Castle itself is quite far from the station. This station has only one exit toward Milady Horákové street, where plenty of tram transfers are available. A second exit was planned, but was not built.

Semafor

Semafor is a Czech theatre in Prague established by Jiří Suchý in 1959. It belongs to the so-called "Theatres of small stages". Suchý himself has performed there for many years and is the current owner. The Semafor theatre was a starting point for many famous Czech musicians such as Karel Gott and Hana Hegerová. The name "Semafor" itself, is abbreviation for Sedm Malých Forem (Seven Small Forms) making reference to form of theater.

Hotel Crowne Plaza Prague

Prague Canoeing Centre

The Prague Canoeing Centre is one of the most frequently used venues for international canoe slalom competition. Built in 1983 in Czechoslovakia, it diverts water around a 3.6 metres dam at Troja on the Vltava river in Prague. Its two unique features are its use of car and truck tires as flow diverters and its shallow slope, closer to 1% than the usual nearly 2% for such venues.
