Titus Mountain or Titus as it is colloquially known, is a popular downhill ski area on a foothill of 2,204 feet Titusville Mountain, 7 miles south of the Village of Malone, in the Town of Malone, in Franklin County, New York. Skerry, New York
Location The Hamlet of Skerry is located in Town of Brandon in Franklin County, between the Little Salmon River on Franklin County Highway 12(the Skerry Road) and Franklin County Highway 13 (Bangor Skerry Road). Skerry is 7 miles from Malone and the nearest community is West Bangor 3.6 miles. Originally the community developed around a lumber mill and other small businesses. To the north of Skerry are a number of farms.

Trout River is a border crossing connecting Athelstan, Quebec to Constable, New York. Historically, Trout River was the primary crossing of the Trout River, NY port of Entry. This distinction is due to the fact that the US Customs and Border Protection defines a port of entry as 'any designated place at which a CBP officer is authorized to accept entries of merchandise to collect duties, and to enforce the various provisions of the customs and navigation laws'.
Jamieson Line Border Crossing
Jamieson Line is a border crossing connecting Athelstan, Quebec to Burke, New York. Canada closed its port of entry on April 1, 2011, and tore down its border inspection station in 2012. People are no longer permitted to enter Canada at this location. The US port of entry remains open, but US Customs and Border Protection is planning to close this crossing southbound as well.
