Located in the northeast corner of Baltimore, The Maryland School for the Blind (MSB) is a private, statewide resource center providing outreach, school and residential programs to children and youth from infancy to age 21 who are blind or visually impaired including those with multiple disabilities. Each year the school serves 73% of the 1,800 students identified in Maryland who are blind or visually impaired.

The Children's Guild
The Children's Guild is a series of schools that serve emotionally disturbed as well as other "at risk" children in Maryland. The main campus is located in Baltimore, with two other campuses in Annapolis and Chillum. The "Guild," as the school is frequently referred to by the staff, employs the educational philosophy known as "Transformation Education" or Tranz Ed, for short. Another organization of the same name is based in Buffalo, New York.

Northern High School (Baltimore)
Northern High School was a high school in the Baltimore City Public Schools system. The school mascot was the Viking. The school yearbook was the Valhalla. The address was 2201 Pinewood Ave; Baltimore, MD 21214. The school colors were green and white, but each graduating year also had its own mascot and colors. In the 1960's the school was mostly college prep with a high percentage of students going on to college.
